Tillinghast Pond Management Area is a popular hiking and paddling destination located at 50 Plain Road in West Greenwich, Rhode Island. This beautiful area was permanently conserved in 2006 thanks to the support of the community of West Greenwich, who approved an $8 million bond to help acquire the land. The 13-mile trail system makes Tillinghast Pond one of the most popular hiking areas in Rhode Island, offering a sense of remoteness that is hard to find in southern New England.

In addition to hiking and paddling, visitors can explore the various loop trails that wind through the forest, past historic sites, and along streams and ridges. The area is home to a diverse range of habitats, including pine and oak forests, red maple swamps, Atlantic white cedar swamps, and open hayfields. Birdwatchers may spot Scarlet Tanagers, Baltimore Orioles, and Belted Kingfishers, while red squirrels may be heard scolding from the trees.
