Stepping Stone Ranch

"We kept our horses at Stepping Stone Ranch and camped in our LQ trailer across the street (full hookups at Oak Embers Campground). The people were really nice and the trails in Arcadia Management Area were plentiful, fantastic & beautiful! Wish we could have stayed a week camping & riding here!"

"My daughters wedding was at this venue last August. It was very hot and the Venue had no water or ice for the guests. The barn was dark and very hot w/ o ly 2 fans. Guests had to leave early. This venue dropped the ball on several promises. The money was prepaid and the wedding was ruined. Not a place I'd use for anything."

"We stopped for a night on our way to Maine. Great space, easy going atmosphere, and Heidi was very accommodating. We were the only campers that night, so we had a lot of space. We got in later than we hoped and rain was coming, so we only had a short ride in Arcadia, but the forests were so pretty. This was the only place we stayed on our 6 day journey where we barely saw a gnat or mosquito. Maybe we got lucky, but that was priceless!"

"Daryl helped me organize a surprise engagement with my wife , she was totally surprised. It was a while ago but to this day no one (not even movie stars) could top this experience with them. We dressed up in midieval outfits with swords ,took black n white photos mid trail at a beautiful spot in Arcadia. Came back happily engaged to the entire staff clapping with champagne ready !!!!"

"An amazing place to ride! Heidi, (the owner and one of the instructors), is a wonderful woman. As an instructor, she has a good eye for a riders strengths and weaknesses, and works with you to improve without ever being patronizing. Whether you are a beginner, experienced, or a former rider getting back in the saddle, I would strongly recommend her. Trail riding is very popular with the borders and campers, with easy access to Arcadia state park. The barn is well kept, safe, and enclosed. They host horse events and dinners frequently, all listed on their page. Additionally, if you're looking for an authentic western setting for your wedding, this would be a good choice."
