"Love the place! HOWEVER......IT IS FULL OF TICKS!! Found them on our dogs and later at night found two on me...one embedded in the top of my thigh... BEWARE!!"
"I love walking here, during the spring and summer it’s great for birdwatching and I love the little bridge over the stream! So peaceful:) Although I wish people would read the signs that say to NOT take their dogs here during certain months- there are multiple signs saying when dogs are allowed and yet most people don’t seem to care OR can’t read. There is a returning population of endangered birds that come to nest in the tall grasses between May and July. Dogs are seen as a threat by birds. Letting them into places these birds inhabit will make their populations even more scarce than they already are. Be respectful towards wildlife; not every outdoor place is welcomed to dogs year-round. Rhode Island offers PLENTY of other beautiful walks that are dog-friendly during the warmer months:)"
"It’s a good walk, not too long. Really tall grass so go there after it’s cut, wear long pants and sleeves and spray yourself if you want to be extra safe from Ticks."
"This was a great place to go for an easy trail walk. It's wide enough for two people to walk side by side, and is an easy trail requiring nothing more than sneakers. It offers great opportunities to view the local bird population. I would suggest wearing tick repellant, and bringing an EpiPen if you are allergic to bees."
"NOT A DOG PARK!!! It is a former farm where you can hike. Beautiful and well maintained! If hiking with a dog it MUST BE leashed. For two reasons: if they poop you need to pick it up! And some dogs on leashdo not like strange dogs running up to them! We don't want to lose this beautiful place to walkout dogs! Please follow rules."
