"DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE! They had a 'recycled' transmission listed on their online website, I called and a spoke with a Robert Moralis who set up my online acccount for me but put in an incorrect name. I found the EXACT transmission being sold from B and R wrecking in Washington State cheaper! I called the wrecking company and verified it is the exact trans via vin #. So I call Richard Moralis to cancel with him and get my money back. This was all done a month ago. Find out that Transtar Ind. refunded my money to the incorrect name Richard Moralis set up! I had to call several different people at Transtar to get a correction in order to get my money back. Richard Moralis told every one I set up the account! So if your sales rep is a bold face lier, how can you trust anyone else at Transtar Ind. It's now Dec. 22, Christmas weekend and still no refund of my money! Please take my advice and save yourself a lot of money, but more importantly you time and lack of trust inTranstar. Richard, you have a wonderful Christmas, and think about your actions over this holiday, and think about making some changes in your life. What you chose to do wrong to others causes a lot of unnecessary disruptions for others. I was born and raised with respect and pride for myself as well as I do for others. "Needing a torque converter like yesterday, I called a Ford dealer and they wanted over $400.oo...... So, after a few calls around town I was given Transtars number by a fellow and upon calling the 800 number I talked to a fellow located in Pittsburg Pa. and He asked if I had an acct. ..? "No......, I'm just an average Joe needing a torque converter fast as two of my bolts sheered off and another was loose. " So, He says I could go to the Newfalls Pa. location and just ask for the part # He had given me and they'll take cash or credit card.... I got lost on the way and called the 800 # back and got a woman in another state asking for the address and She tells me if I don't have an acct. I can't get one...? So, I found the place and the fellow and woman back in shipping were very kind, professional and very helpful as they had no problem with hooking me up with a torque converter for $100.oo and some change................. Thank You TRANSTAR soo much for saving me over $300.oo and a long ride to the dealer, and a day later for the part... Transtar was A#1 with me, as I'm sure they will be with you.................. "If you are running a business where time, $$$, and good service matters do yourself a favor and DO NOT use this company. It took forever to find the parts that we returned to them and have our account credited. Then when a warranted job needed to get paid on, it took six months to get that credit. So not worth the aggravation!"
