"My health was declining . I had 2 incidents , 3 to 4 yrs apart of what was felt to be stress related strokes . Fortunately they were TIA’s . I was warned the next time it could be full blow stroke . I have been treated for a heart problems and high blood pressure on meds for a number of years. My life became very dark , my depression meds were not able to stop my vary dark thoughts and they were more frequent. I lost 2 friends due to Covid . I lost years long friends due to my depression . My Phychiatrist recomended TMS . I sought out TMS treatment at my local hospital but was told i was too old and after 72 ( I was 71) the success rate drops to below their desired success rate . My Psychiatrist recomended Dr.Dalkilic. She said she has had 3 patients that have benefited with Depression Doctors in Lawrence NJ . I feel I am # 4 ! I have a ways to go , but will follow me with one of their councellors . I am dealing better with my circumstance and accepting that I need to participate in my success . I am lighter both physically and emotionally . I still have trouble getting at least 6 hours of sleep ,on the days I did , I felt less anxiety and better able to cope with simple things that were sending me into dispare . I find I am smiling a bit more and able to get joy through simple things . I still need my meds but was able to lower the dose . That was a huge success . The Doctor is wonderful , kind, listened , was there when our car was totaled . We didn’t ask for the call , he just called ! The staff is so kind and the joy I felt walking in to see them made it something I looked forward to . All I can say it don’t be afraid to try TMS . Make a goal while you are there to accept the possibility of changing your life and keep an open mind . I feel calmer than I have in years . Thank you to Dr. Dalkilic for going to bat with my insurance company in order for me to benifit from my 20 minute sessions . That give me time to have positive thoughts and start the day in a nice comfortable atmosphere . . Kathleen"
