"Inexperienced and condescending doctor-with absolutely abysmal bedside manner . This person failed to detect a 10cm fibroid during our initial visit (with an ultrasound), which led to complications a few months later. After an emergency visit to Newton Medical Center -I followed up with Aves. She was terse, dismissive and simply rude. Her only reaction to my situation was to suggest that I have a hysterectomy (I was of childbearing age at the time) I was emotional at this news-to which she responded with well, “it’s a very bloody surgery” (to remove a fibroid) and “I just don’t think you are a candidate for a fibroid removal-and a hysterectomy would be easier” . Sure! FOR HER. This inept so called doctor was too incompetent to perform the surgery. THATS the real reason for her suggestions. I visited several other gynecologists after this horrid experience-and all said a hysterectomy was a last resort. I went on to have a successful fibroid removal from a competent and caring surgeon. I’ve had no issues whatsoever since. I HIGHLY suggest ANYONE considering Aves—GET A SECOND AND THIRD OPINION. This woman is rude, condescending and obviously inexperienced. I can’t stress enough how harmful a person like this in the gynecology field could be. RUN LIKE HELL!"
