"Dr. Penn has absolutely no bedside manner. When I came to see her about my PCOS she stated my need for weight loss. I had explained I recently started going to the gym and i am focused to lose weight. She stated that I’ll never lose weight with diet and exercise and that I should see a bariatric surgeon. I’m 24 years old. It is bad practice to recommend invasive surgery right off the gate. After getting upset and crying she then proceeded with her Pap smear while i was in tears and left me with no comfort. I feel violated. I will not be going back to her."

"The sole reason I am writing this review is so that patients of Dr Penn are aware of how I was treated by her, and hope that in the future you will receive a more caring welcome and are treated with respect. I had an appointment today 2/22/21 at 12:45 with Dr Penn, and it was snowing very hard as I was driving there. I left myself extra time, but with the very hazardous driving conditions, I arrived 20 minutes late due the nasty weather. I am always early/on time for appointments I make, but this was totally out of my control due to the extreme road conditions. I pulled over during my drive so that I could call the office and let them know I'd be 15-20 minutes late. Their phone system leads you to 8 different prompts, none of which are to be able to be connected or speak to the receptionist, but rather to leave a message with the nurse, which is what I did. Once I arrived and checked in, (and let me add that there wasn't anyone in the waiting area), I was told that since I arrived late for my appointment, she needed to speak to the doctor. The receptionist came back to me and said Dr Penn told her she is completely booked, it's 15 minutes past my appointment time and she has no time to see me the remainder of the day. I was so taken aback, floored and upset that I risked my safety in treacherous weather conditions, not canceling my appointment, while acting responsible to make sure I called ahead to let them know. Dr Penn was asked once by the receptionist and then once by a nurse if she could/would try to fit me in. I really can't believe she didn't have the decency to either maybe say, "if I were willing to wait around she'll fit me in when she can", or say she apologizes and make me feel that she at least cared and understood. Neither of those things occurred, and although I've been a patient of the practice for over 12 years, I'm choosing to find another practice that treats patients the way they deserve to be treated."
