"Never made it to Merovich due to the rudeness of the secretary at the Hermitage office. On 3/28 (today) upon trying to make an appointment and asking questions about things I didn't understand, the patience and kindness I had always experienced from the staffs of UPMC up until today had vanished. Now rudeness, arrogance, and a complete lack of understanding or care seems to be the new policy. There was even another voice giggling in the background until I just hung up. Very unprofessional, a complete disappointment to the UPMC I used to know, and therefor I will be switching to AHN and encouraging others to do the same, or at least if they choose UPMC, to urge them NEVER to go to Hermitage. It's truly a shame as PA Ross is excellent at his job and cares about people. Too bad the office people do not."
"I have had her as my PCP for 4 years. I have had issues, more so, the last 2 years getting her to respond to testing that I had done. Recently I had labs done for an problem I suddenly started to have. I was able to see the results on MyUpmc and was rather concerned. I never received a call from her office and emailed them after a few days to find out what Dr. Merovich thought. It took 10 days before I heard from her. office She sent me for additional labs and I never heard anything back. When I sent them an email telling her that it's unprofessional to not review labs and reach out to her patients, with a problem, w/in a timely manner I was discharged from her practice without warning. I have all the emails to prove I was never inappropriate with her or her staff, I just wanted her to explain test results. The problem I went to see her for, I never got any answers. She passed me off to a specialist, which I found out I do not need to see. Luckily I had made an appointment to establish with another PCP when this all started. She basically kicked me out for having her feelings hurt. Dr. Merovich is a very nice doctor. The only problems I have had with her over the years is taking my problems seriously, actually listening to me, and getting back to me with test results in a timely manner. That's enough to find someone who does care about her patients."
