"This review is solely based on my negative customer service experience with Sean. I have not interacted with any other artists at Rising Tide. I selected Sean for my first tattoo. May 31 I stated in my initial email that I didn’t know what to call the style I was looking for and included reference photos. He accepted—I scheduled for August 11. Yesterday, August 10, I sent additional photos and in texting back and forth between 9:30-10pm Sean told me he misread my original email/request and does not do the style I wanted. Sean abruptly refunded my deposit without asking me for more clarification, offering to reschedule, exploring alternatives, or discussing a second design I had submitted. I then asked for a recommendation and a reference photo of a surrealism design. I did not receive further communication from Sean. From my perspective I feel this was both disrespectful and unprofessional."
