"My review is in two parts. First, the team of Bryan and Bob who came to my home to install a bathroom faucet and shower fixtures was great.  Very professional, cordial and friendly team.  I thought they were wonderful people. Second, I was very disappointed in the Shipley company and will never use them again. After setting my initial appointment date, they called me to cancel and reschedule.  I said fine, even though it was a nuisance.  Then they called me again and told me that they had to cancel and reschedule. They said they were busy with other projects.  Really??  They finally arrived on my third appointment date. (I later learned that they give priority to customers under annual contracts, and as a new customer, I obviously did not have a contract with them). My issue is not with the two techs they sent out.  They are great guys who are very knowledgeable.  My issue is with Shipley.  After they installed my bathroom fixtures, I asked for two other estimates. One for a kitchen sink and faucet replacement, and another for toilet installation.  When they left, I realized I only received the estimate for the sink and faucet.  So I called Shipley and explained that I never received an estimate for a toilet install.  I also followed up online about the estimate, and also asked if they could come back and straighten the bathroom faucet because it was installed at a slight angle, and not perfectly straight. After a few days, nothing happened. I was ghosted. Thankfully, I eventually found another plumbing company, which worked on a few other installs for me.  Their prices are even better than Shipley's.  I will never give my business to Shipley again.  Which is their loss, because my recently purchased home needs a number of updates and fixes, and I now have the best plumbing company in the area to go to:  Heil Plumbing."

"I had a second water heater installed by Shipley. Shipley responded immediately to my request for quick service. The technician, Ryan, was professional and courteous and did an excellent job. I was extremely pleased with the timely service and the quality of the work. The AO Smith hot water heater also seems to be of high quality. As I said three years ago, in a review of Shipley for my previous water heater (there are two in my house), however, Shipley simply charges too much."
