"I have a surgery scheduled for next week and I have been calling every day for the past 2 weeks to get some information about the surgery and billing but no one picks up my calls. Even when I leave a voicemail, no one returns my calls. If someone at a different office picks up, they don’t know the answers to my questions and redirect me to a different person, who then redirects me back to the first person etc. and I have been stuck in this redirection loop with no answers about billing or the recovery process for the past week. Honestly I’m so uncomfortable getting my surgery done with them due to their lack of organization and unprofessionalism. Edit: I had to move my surgery back a month, and for some reason, this time around everybody was very clear and kept me in the loop. Adding another star for the medical team at the surgery center!"

"Went to see Dr. Schueler. gastroenterologist. Great advice. Waiting for colonoscopy takes forever. Worth the wait for peace of mind. Dr. sent a referral to colorectal surgeon who put me on the right path. Grateful for Dr. Schueler's knowledge and for his humility in requesting another set of eyes."

"After moving to DC, I was excited to have one place for all my doctors appts and records but honestly I regret committing to GW. 90% of time when you call to make an appointment, you get sent to an automated voicemail and no one returns your calls (neurology appointment). IF you do get through the associate is incredibly rude and act like you’re bothering them by asking to schedule an appointment. MyChart is useful when doctors actually reply to your messages. MyChart is nice for appointment reminders and notes though. Not unique to GW but good luck getting an appointment sooner than 2 months out. I know that is a product of the times but people usually need care sooner rather than later. If I wasn’t already in with my doctors and an established patient where I can schedule my next appointment in person at the current appointment, I would not return. The doctors I’ve met with are pretty good, it’s a shame the infrastructure around them is bad enough to make me not want to return."

"Not happy with my visit; everything feels rushed from check-in to check-out. Care isn’t all satisfying; For example I’ve been having horrible chronic abdominal pain and came into my visit eager to finally see a Dr. But that was still not addressed. You have to ask the questions, they do not give the information. Their only big pro is that they take Medicaid."

"Horrendous experience with GW Medical Faculty Associates. They billed me incorrectly for a date of service two years ago, and I have been going back and forth with their billing office since. Requested to speak with a manager for the last two years and still have NEVER received a callback. Been told by numerous representatives that they will do something to resolve the situation, call back a week later and they never actually did what they promised. Avoid this group at all costs. They simply lie to your face and clearly are engaging in predatory billing practices, as other reviewers across their locations have mentioned. Incredibly frustrated and concerned with my experience here. To respond to the reply below from the business owner: I have contacted that email about 6 months ago and have called that number and left a voicemail. This team has done nothing as well. Never heard back, never once received any confirmation via email or phone. Once again, another example of a public display of following up and an appearance of being willing to help, but no follow through or anything actually helpful. You all clearly do not care about my experience or concerns. Edit as of 4/25/21: The owner did reach out to me via email with a resolution, charging me zero dollars for the visit (that I was initially never supposed to be charged with anyway). While I appreciate the resolution, I am deeply disappointed it took a review like this to get any movement from these folks. I'd recommend this course of action if you need a resolution. I hope this has shed light on any unintentional or intentional business practices that must be changed here and I hope this doesn't happen again to another customer. However, if you are taken advantage of here, do not give in and pay. Escalate your issues until they are resolved."
