"I wanted to write this review to help other black women. This place changed my life. I originally found them on Groupon. I called in only to find out they had a better price lmao. I had to call to find out if they can do black skin, it's black-owned and they use thr YAG laser, the answer is yes. I almost gave up because I contacted 2 other places that said I was too DARK but I'm not going to get into that. I bought 6 sets of underarm and Brazilian. This was maybe 4 years ago. They educate theur clients. I thought my hair would never grow back but many people have to do a lot of sessions for that results. The hair grows back slower, and finer after each session. After the first session alone, I've never had another ingrown hair. I eventually bought an additional 6 sessions and now I shave maybe 4 times in the year. What they really sold me on was their skin program. I didn't want to spend that money at first so I started off with a vi peel, which is the safest chemical peel for dark skin. Great results but I told them never again. I lied, did it again 1 year later. Still hate it but results are results. I finally saved enough for the skin program (I'm a regular at this point so I got a discount) which consists of lasers on the face, glycolic peels, and ematrix. My hyperpigmentation, texture, and pores size has noticeably improved. Beauty is certainly pain here lol, but I don't regret a thing."

"I had a great experience...I was in and out in less than 20 minutes! I was greeted by Keith who helped me get checked in. He's very helpful and reminded me of one of my best friends. Dr. Thomas is super knowledgeable about the skin and how it interacts with different types of treatments. She is down to earth and makes you feel comfortable with whatever service you're getting. I received laser hair removal/reduction and was a bit nervous about the pain but surprisingly, it hurt way less than expected. After the laser machine shoots out heat to your hair follicles, it also shoots out a cooling sensation which REALLY helps with pain tolerance especially in sensitive areas. So glad I found this place, I've already recommended Laser Essentials to 8 of my friends!"

"Dr. Thomas and Keith treat me really well and their prices are fair. Dr. T knows her stuff, has a fun way of explaining things, and will consider my input with respect to my skincare while letting me know if it is the right direction to take. Keith is always fun to chat with, strikes me as an honest guy, and gives me options with respect to packages to take advantage of and whatnot. I can recommend Laser Essential with confidence."

"Don't waste your time or money here. Male receptionist is full of himself and thinks he is doing you a favor. Despite of having an appointment at noon, they weren't ready for my treatment. Male receptionist was extremely rude and started screaming at me just because I made a comment about the delay on my treatment. He has zero inter personal skills and costumer service. I don't do business with people that think they are doing you a favor when you actually paying a lot for a service. Also, they have tons of internal rules about no refunds, pre-payments etc. Be careful with that, they may charge you even if they don't do any work on you. Waste of time and energy...!"

"Dr. Thomas & Mr. Keith are awesome! If you are looking for a professional and friendly place for laser hair removal. The prices are phenomenal and I love how they make me feel a part of the family. I don’t often make reviews but I’ve been two other laser hair removal offices within the DMV and Laser Essential has the best Laser for darker skin tones and/or people of color. I highly recommend this office!"
