"I hired Joe and his employee Eric to remove and replace the old drainage pipe running through my house. Joe called me on a Tuesday when I was away on vacation and said he was heading over to my house- didn't ask if I was at home or if it was a good time for him to come and do the work. I told Joe that I was worried about our cat Chester getting out and asked if we could reschedule, to which he simply replied "No." So, I scrambled and asked my pet sitter to put Chester in an upstairs bedroom so that he wouldn't get out. Joe and Eric left that evening with the kitchen window (the only window without a screen on it) wide open. The pet sitter let Chester out of the bedroom that evening to have some space and eat dinner, unaware that the kitchen window was wide open. Chester got out the window and has been missing now for three weeks. We cut our vacation short and drove back that night to look for him. Needless to say, my partner and I are devastated and heartbroken that our family member is missing. Joe and Eric took off without so much as an offer to help find him or checking in to ask if he was found, despite the fact that this business is a short 5 minute drive away from our home. Joe is dirt cheap but lacks any semblance of customer service or consideration, and we're paying the price for trusting him."
