"We went for lunch and were seated right away. Apps and drinks came out fast, but it took almost an hour for our entrees to arrive. Waitress kept saying food would be right out. When it finally did come, it was cold, and my rare Kobe burger was well done. Do not recommend. I would give 0 stars if I could."
"We came here for the first time because we heard so much about it since it opened, but we were disappointed. The much anticipated burger was mediocre AT BEST. The meat had very little flavor and the bun was nothing special, kinda dry and broke off when bitten into. $17 & $15 burgers served with only a bag of chips (fries were an upgrade.) The atmosphere upfront by the bar was kinda cool with lots of wood & several barn doors, however towards the back where the restaurant seating was it felt more like a vacant pool hall than a restaurant. Additionally, several tables were very wobbly so we had to move to a new table. Waitress was very friendly & attentive. But, $40 before tip for two burgers that were unimpressive & $6.00 for a draft Miller light beer was ridiculous! We won’t be back! UPDATE: We tasted the chips (from a bag)when we got home & they were excellent! The brand is Deep River & we really enjoyed them. They were very crunchy, great flavor, and not too salty. If they’re gonna skimp on including fries with a burger at least they bought quality chips."
"Abbey Burger HDG was a great experience. As for the food, I ordered the Baltimore Burger and a side on sweet potato fries (upcharge). The food was really good and superstar of the dish were the sweet potato fries. Among some of the best I've had. The burger was cooked to the perfect temp (medium). The crab dip was interesting but still very good. Overall I really liked the staff, they were friendly and work had for the crowd we had come in so that always appreciated. If you need a great burger spot and avoid the hassle of the inner harbor you don't have to leave your county!"
"We ordered a couple appetizers and 2 draft beers. Our “server” was sitting at the bar drinking with a customer. One of the appetizers was over cooked to the point it was like shoe leather. Our “server” then was so intoxicated they dumped an entire 40 gallon container of beer and ice over the floor. The hardest working employee we saw was the male bartender who was seating people, delivering food and taking ordered. This place is a joke! Save your money and go anywhere else. Update: 15 min later we still can’t get a check to escape this hell!"
"Every place's success comes down to one basic question - does the food taste good? Abbey Burger didn't offer anything good in our visit. I had the crispy chicken burger - while the chicken was done, internally, the breading was fried in either way too hot or hot and old oil. The burned oil or old oil taste was the strongest taste. See photo - that's not the color a crispy chicken sandwich should be. My partner had the salmon burger - and there's no real way to describe it other than 'tastes like you'd expect unseasoned fish on bread to taste'. The seltzer water tasted off; rubbery perhaps, or poor quality local water supply. The iced tea tasted like old tea. While the chicken sandwich was removed from the bill, $35 for fried pickles, one burger, and an Iced Tea (the remaining items on our bill) seems steep for the quality of the product. Service was fine. Friendly. All that. Service isn't enough of a reason to return. If a quality chef could mentor their cooks for even one day, it might be enough to save this place."
