Allendale Apartments

"I recently move here, and so far I like the community. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet. I had some issues with the apartment but it was resolved quickly, I just waiting to one order work to the done. The maintenance man is very friendly equal to the lady from the office. I like that when I moved here they gave all the information I need of the community such as the schools, daycare, and close restaurant, I found it very convenient for me. Overall, I like the apartment. I feel it as home, and my children enjoy living here. I live in a townhouse 3 bedroom."

"Very over priced , unprofessional office personnel. The maintenance team is sub par at best. The quality of their work is pathetic for the price they charge to live here . There is only 1 fire detector in entire apartment. It takes weeks to get a response for a simple work order .The locks for the interior doors are on the wrong side . Apartment looks like ray Charles painted it . Constant gas leaks, bug problems.... etc . Long story short , don’t move here !"

"HORRIBLE! Lived here for a few months and we let a few things slide from tape and wall stickers being painted over to bathroom appliances being painted instead of replaced, But warping and cracking walls after one rain storm? This is not okay for the amount of money paid monthly. For $1,500/month PLUS having to pay to use amenities that are advertised for residents, I should not have to put in a maintenance order monthly. Absolutely Ridiculous and everything will be “fixed” the cheapest way possible. Oh how I wish I could upload photos. Unless you don’t mind living in a fun house, Save your money and don’t move here."

"I lived here four years. The first two years were great, because of the pool and gym. However, every year my rent is jacked by 20 dollars. The apartments are old and outdated. There’s no closet space/storage. Bugs infestations, I never see maintenance spray apartments for bugs. The pool hasn’t been opened in 2 years and that’s one amenity I’m paying for, so why jack my rent 20 dollars when there is no pool? It is a great quiet place and lots of walking space outside which me and my kids love but playgrounds are very old needs to be updated. One star because of 20 dollar rent increase each year and the apartments are outdated"

"I'm going to be completely honest... on a scale 1-10 I give it a 4.. In 2011 is when I moved to Allendale. At 1st I love my apartment, as the months went on I noticed how cheap everything was. Here's just my review on everything, I cant wait to move out. ****Bugs- I keep my apartment very clean, I would never leave food out. Almost everyday in the Spring to Fall I would notice a spider. Everyday there was at least 1 or more. I find Crickets too, not just the normal one's but spider crickets. I would find bee's, they would come in through the bathroom fan or vents. ****Mice- This past winter I caught 3 in my kitchen. There was a hole somewhere maintenance came and never patched it up. Not once did the apartment complex cut me some slack on my rent for all the trouble with their pest control and mice. ****Maintenance -the staff is nice but I don't like that they can come in my apartment when ever they like. I usually give them a time frame when I'm home but there were a couple of times when I lost heat or A/C on the weekend and someone would just bust in when I would be nude!! Not even a knock. ****Household Things When I put on my A/C on, the floor in the kitchen was not properly installed so it was like walking on a balloon. The blinds are very cheap, I pull the rope to lift them up and they would crack easily. Had to buy new one's. Now I received a letter that they are switching to tarp and removing the grass. The walls have no fiberglass insulation. it would be crazy cold and the heat bill would be off the roof. there are so many cracks that let the air come through. I called maintenance to fix and they would make it worse. Appliances are old and out dated. I hope my review was helpful. Ur paying more for the location, other than that save yourself the headache."
