"Store stuck back pre-2000. $10 minimum on cards, most countries are no longer cash based. If the store cannot do basic math, they need to hire a mathematician to calculate profitability and set their prices for electronic payments. There are many 3rd world countries who have gone cashless a decade ago. The US and this store remains primitive. Same type of food can be purchased at other competitors in the area usings cards. Tough way to permanently lose a customer over $0.50."
"Stan's has long been a staple of our Strip visits. It's cheap, you know you have to eat your produce within a couple days. But we know what to expect. I hadn't been there since Covid hit but was in the area so thought I'd stop by as a safe option since it's basically outdoors. I was really disappointed to see that the man working there however was not wearing a mask, so I left. This is in violation of state regulations and with a huge spike in cases, is irresponsible. I hope it was just an anomaly but I won't be back in the near future."
"Good prices, worth looking your produce over for freshness before throwing it in your basket, some stuff is less than ideal freshness wise. It's packed as hell on the weekend, but the staff is pretty good about keeping the checkout lines moving."
"They sell seemingly good looking produce for cheap prices ($1 for a pack of strawberries) to later find out you have been baited into buying mostly moldy expired fruit that was hidden by the layer of good fruits on top of the box"
"Good produce at great prices. Yet you need to use it sooner rather than later, it will not last as long as grocery store vegetables (but not nearly as expensive). Some items seem to disappear for a long time - I haven't seen any white onions there for a few months at least. Their fresh herbs also seem a little more expensive than I last recall."
