Reviews
"My experience with this conglomerate was not a good one. Reading the other reviews you may have the impression that this supplier is the one to go with.... Maybe if you have a large job and a long relationship with them. My experience : I contacted Brock Associates LLC last monday in search of a basic standing seam roof (green). We are doing a very small store front no more than 4sq in Beaver falls. I spoke with A sales rep, and was told to send him the project details. So I did! Along with a drawing, pictures, even a narrative explaining the entire project. Remember, this was monday. I explained to him that we are trying to expedite this process. If he's too busy, let me know and I'll go elsewhere. He said that he don't have the metal in stock, but can order it in. I ask how long, he said a week. I said o no, how long will it take after that, he said only a day or two. Then he says that he may be able to get it from another vendor in a day or two. I said ok when will you know the date? He tells me by the end of the day. Thursday comes along, and I've heard nothing. I have zero information to give my client except for the supplier said they would call or email me. He don't, so I call and text him. Keep in mind that several attempts where made in the meantime. I end up talking to him Thursday afternoon and he tells me that there wasn't enough information in the email to give me an estimate. now this gentleman is the only person that says this to me because I have multiple other quotes in my email right now. I ask him " what other information do you need?" He says to me what about the turret, and how are you going to flash it in. I tell him let me worry about that please just provide me the aprons and I'll make it happen from there. All I want is what's in the email. If there was something special I needed I would tell you. He say ok I'll send it over to you by the end of the day. After 8:30 p.m. that night I receive an email of a price list. Why does it take 4 days to get a price list....? The next day I contact him, and he asked me what I'm going to do with the Valley area. I tell him that there is no Valley area we are terminating 5ft 8in in towards the wall that's it. that information is in the email. He goes on to say something about me needing curved flashing that's running at $50 a lineal foot. I told him I don't need curved flashing I just need him to provide me with the quote for the roofing so we can get this order started. He says send me a picture of the Valley area and I'll get the work up to you by the end of the day. So I do and I get no response. It's Monday, and I received my quote from Brock Associates today. It was $6,668. This is for under 4 Square of standing seam with a gutter. Beacon has it quoted at $1,100.00 core Building Solutions in West Virginia has a quoted at like $1,245.00 even ABC has it quoted for under $1,300.00. I sent him an email asking was this for a copper roof because there's no way you're sending me a quote for $6,600 on such a small project. then he sends me some email back saying that if I want to provide every itemized piece of material that I need then they can adjust the price a little bit. End result is this, I don't think that the project was big enough to catch this man's interest so therefore he put me on the back burner. He didn't pay attention to anything that I sent him and it was obvious within our communication. Actually there wasn't any communication. I've been installing roofs since 2002, and this is the first time that anything like this has ever happened to me. I won't ever consider this company for anything. First impressions are important to me and this one wasn't a good one. Update (12/21/2018) I was able to complete the job for less than 2k in materials...... turned out beautiful! Already getting great feedback on it."
