"Dang are these cutlets bangin. My wife got a meal that she loved, but I got the chicken parm and the cutlets were perfect. There was a crunch to the chicken that I am always looking for, and that combined with the delicious sauce and provolone and a generous portion of cutlets made a meal that I will not forget anytime soon. Can’t wait to go back."
"The review is -for now- for the bar, where we stopped for a night cap and the atmosphere was neighborhood-ish. Enters Tony, the highly skilled bartender who makes coffee Martinis with real espresso and claims that he can make them eyes closed. Er, no, but he makes an excellent Martini anyway and he knows how to drive a conversation. The food menu looks interesting, we'll be back."
"Lovely restaurant with delicious food and great service. The sandwiches are delicious and generous. Loved the chicken with roasted peppers and grilled eggplant sandwich. Cappuccino is good too"
"Located on the Northeast corner of 23rd and Pine, I must have jogged right past this place 100+ times on my way to Schkuykill Trail. Decided to give it a shot for dinner tonight. Super Impressed!! The ambiance is calm, dim lit, with pretty purple and pink dark pastel colors. The staff was neat, polite, welcoming, and knowledgeable about their menu. We were the first to arrive for dinner and many others came as we ate. Great views of the park across the street. We started with a Greek Salad w/out greens. It was Delicious. Feta, onion, olive, bell pepper, tomato, & a light oil/vinegar dressing. I had the Chicken parmesan, and my friend had a Caesar salad with grilled chicken, but you can get it with the cutlet as well (I soon learned why). Not many people understand what makes a good cutlet. These guys do.. they were very tender (given a good beating) and sliced super thin, breaded to perfection with properly seasoned bread crumbs. THEY WERE AMAZING.. The Caesar dressing was done right. Slight hint of anchovie, right amount of cheese , no mayonnaise'y taste. Traditional delicious dressing, not drenched, hugging crisp cold romaine. I don't write negative reviews, but I don't write false-positives either. This place was great and I will be back. It appeared to be a family run place as every staff member we encountered appeared to be from the same Family (not sure, but seemed that way). Also, the entrees were priced surprisingly low with an average between $20-$24. There was also a lunch menu posted outside with burgers as low as 8 bucks. Can't wait to go for lunch."
"So far I’ve been in 3x in the last month or so they’ve been open, once for a drink and snack, once for dinner and once for takeout. Starting with my first visit for a snack and drink I was pleasantly surprised at the space and how they fit all they did into the small space but they did and I was very comfortable sitting at the bar. The bartender was great and was friendly, engaging and genuinely seemed to enjoy his job. The drinks and snacks were excellent, the meatballs were moist, flavorful and definitely homemade as with the sauce and the stuffed long hots were some of the best I’ve ever had. My second visit for dinner was equally if not more pleasant than my first visit. The server was great as were the drinks! Before I get into the food I’ll preface this by saying that Chicken Parm is what I’d pick if i could only eat one thing the rest of my life. And I feel I have perfected making “my perfect chicken parmigiana” at home so I am quite harsh at judging others CP. I told the server it was my favorite food and asked if they thought I should order it or opt for something else and they said hands down to order it and I did. Was it as good as mine, well, no but It was damn good and for the huge portion you are served I couldn’t believe I ate almost the entire thing! I liked it so much that I recently went in for a takeout CP and granted that it was takeout it just didn’t live up to what I had when dining there. Which I didn’t expect it to be since it has to forego a trip trapped inside plastic containers and a scooter ride before being eaten but the chicken was definitely over cooked and under sauced (which I get if they were trying to ensure the chickens breading didn’t get soggy but if that is the case then include a small side of sauce). The takeout order included the chicken parm in one container and the pasta in a separate container but no utensils, napkins or condiments and I’ve just always been of the mindset that if you are going to accept a takeout order then it should include what the person would need to eat it. Will I be back, yes I absolutely will and you should to and I’ll even order takeout again as I don’t see this restaurant as one that will stop improving as they find their groove. I look forward to many a good meals here! Welcome to the neighborhood Cotolette!"
