"Very rude receptionist. I have been bringing my kids here for 9 years. Everytime we go back for our kid's appointments in the last 2 years or so the experience becomes less and less personal. The doctors are great, front desk and certain nurses not great. I shouldn't feel uncomfortable at my child's appointments."
"The only pediatric office in the area which respects the right of parents to make informed health choices in the best interest of their children. They are happy to discuss health issues to help ensure patients are educated on what they believe is in their best interest. The office is a little cramped and outdated, but that's just a minor inconvenience considering the benefits of going here."
"My children have been patients at this practice for nearly 10 years and I’ve NEVER experienced such an unpleasant visit until today! Please note, the front desk receptionist was very pleasant but the other (younger) woman who escorted us to take my daughter’s vitals and the nurse practitioner we very unprofessional. Since my daughter is a tween, I asked would I need to stay outside of the examination room, the younger woman loudly responded “We’ll let you know if we need to kick you out”! Not even in a jokingly matter I might add. Later, the nurse practitioner entered the room and refused to acknowledge or introduce herself to me and would speak directly to my daughter. Her questions towards my daughter regarding her mental health were persistent as if she wanted a reason and waited towards the bitter end of the appointment to ask if I had any questions. I refused to make any eye contact with her in my response because clearly she was interested in what I would have to say. When our appointment concluded I asked if there was a payment required, was informed no and quickly left. Even my daughter responded that the visit felt uncomfortable and asked if I was ok. I just contacted the Elkins Park office but it appears they are closed for the day. I plan to escalate this issue because the experience was overall inappropriate and needs to be addressed. Furthermore, it appears that some of the staff in this office needs common courtesy and professionalism training especially on how to inquire and not be persistent in topics such as mental health. More importantly to repeatedly poke a child questioning their mental health as if you are hoping for a response when none of the signs and symptoms are nonexistent appears desperate and seemingly an excuse to push for treatment. Rest assure, I will be changing my daughter’s PCP after this encounter."
"I took my three boys there and now my grandson. Dr. Jaffee is so kind and patient. The office staff is wonderful"
