"Dr. Young comes off as having the kindest spirit. She has a very gentle demeanor in the office. We trusted her with my husbands very complex lung cancer. But the excessive radiation burned up his bronchial tube and remaining lung, and my husband had to suffer multiple complicated surgeries and procedures eventually having an entire pneumonectomy that left him with massive challenges. When his cancer metastasized to his brain, he again had a surgery to remove that tumor. Dr. Young recommended additional radiation on his brain. But when I questioned her direction, the dosage and tried to discuss getting a second opinion, Dr. Youngs tune changed dramatically. She was clearly annoyed and challenged me on it. My husband was so tired, and just wanted to finish up any remaining treatments at Annne Arundal and not have to repeat his entire history to a new set of docs and hospital. Dr. Young went so far as to put the fact that I might want a second opinion into the AA system, viewed by docs and nurses. It was intimidating. It is standard procedure to make sure any patient receiving rad on the brain have plenty of steroids to prevent swelling. We were not given any coverage by her, it was never even discussed and one week after my husbands 3rd and final rad treatment; not having been prescribed preventive steroids by Dr. Young he died of brain swelling. I believe that she so resented being questioned that she never bothered to make sure we had appropriate drugs when he was released. She just allowed the situation to take whatever twist it would. Don't know how she sleeps at night. My advise is to seek out a hospital system that has a team of docs who actually coordinate with each other. Anne Arundal was a disappointment across the board with its lack of cohesive cancer treatment and care. There were some docs who were remarkable shining stars who were involved with my husbands care. Dr. Young was just not one of them."

I KNOW THERE ARE MANY VERY COMPETENT DOCTORS THAT I COULD HAVE SEEN, BUT I WILL TELL YOU THAT I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL THAT I VISITED DR YOUNG. THERE IS AN INTAGIBLE SOMETHING. I HAVE ALL THE CONFIDENCE IN THE WORLD IN DR YOUNG."
