"Unfortunately, this complaint is not only about the 1) wait time but also about the 2) food, and 3) service. I showed up in uniform, I ordered a smoothie ONLY because the lady told me she was not cooking anymore (I was hungry) and it was 3:27pm (26 Jan 24) at a franchise that closes at 4pm. She asked for my name in a rude manner while talking to a family member on her cell phone which she had resting on her shoulder, made me the wrong smoothie and outright blamed me in an argumentative tone that it was my fault; I ordered the same smoothie I've always ordered the last 10 times on the app. There were 3 retired older African-American veterans there who began interjecting for me because they saw the verbal abuse and she proceeded to verbally abuse them as well; It was a horrible experience. This is the 2nd time I complained about the service here. The lady did NOT use milk for my smoothie, it was completely water based and ONLY added 1 date to my smoothie (pic attached); it didn't taste right. The wait time....well, why write about it, you as the owner are already aware. If other Tropical Smoothies can do it, I'm sure you can as well. Lastly, she closed the store early at 3:46pm (pic attached) when the sign clearly states that 4pm is closing time. Thank you for reading. I really don't want an explanation, I would appreciate change. I'm going to try going to it one more time, however, if I receive a similar experience, I will consider contacting AAFES for sanctioning and removal of this business from the food court, and will contact local media about it as well. I'm sorry to say that but we, who sacrifice a lot, 26 years and counting, combat veteran, deserve better than this."
"I enjoy coming here because the staff is friendly and helpful. I'm sick of hearing people complain that they don't get their food when they want it or that it's free. The manager, Alicia, and Kalif always make sure my food and smoothies are fresh and delicious, and they work really hard, especially during lunch rush."
"Unreasonably slow… and I’m having a hard time understanding why I’m waiting 25 minutes for an order with 3 people working and only 1 other person in line. Would suggest management consider some serious process improvements. Edit: also did not receive napkins or silverware for meal."
"I’m not one to complain about service but damn, it took my coworker’s order nearly 45 min to get. Drank our smoothies and all. Speaking of smoothies. I paid extra for strawberries in a detox island smoothie. Was there strawberries? NONE. Tasted like watered ginger. My Baja chicken wrap? I paid extra for pineapple salsa. Was there pineapple salsa? NONE. I understand the lunch rush, which is why we ordered with time to spare but come on. I can accept waiting 15/20 min to get quality food and drinks but waiting 30/45 min for orders that aren’t even made right? Unacceptable."
"Worst spot at the BX. You get your order 25 minutes late with a slide order of attitude. What’s the point of ordering ahead/using the app if they are not gonna start working on your order until you get to the counter? Also, y’all only have one person working, so I just watched a customer stand at the counter and basically was ignored because the employee was still making my order. Which did I mention was placed over 30 minutes ago? So anywho, the other customer just walked away because who wants to stand at a counter and get ignored for 5 minutes. Dear management, please do better and know I’m gonna talk with the AAFES base manager because this has been a repeat issues for about a month. Absolutely the worst tropical smoothie location on the east coast. Please hire some more folks, or hire people who actually want to work at the restaurant. Thanks for reading my review."
