"I had always been hesitant about seeing a therapist and on my initial appointment I was very nervous. Walking up to the office door for the first time my anxiety spiked only to be calmed after the first face to face interaction with the staff. The women behind the counter were very pleasant to deal with, much like how they had been over the phone. The waiting area felt like I was sitting in someones home rather then in a counseling center. The first interaction with Michael Schemm further reduced my anxiety as he was very welcoming and informative as to what options we had to move forward in treatment. Michael included me in the process of choosing the best path forward in my therapy. It has been a little over a year and a half since my first session and since it has been nothing but a wonderful experience."

"Ive been going to Harmony for a year. They have helped me tremendously I am glad they have expanded and now have Professionals that are able to prescribe medications. I don’t have to go to a separate Psychiatrist. They seem to have specialist for every issue My particular therapist has 40 years or more experience in the mental health field and is really knowledgeable in several different types of therapy. The front staff are friendly and very helpful. I believe the therapist I work with based on past experience, is a genuine, solid, and insightful counselor I’ve been seeing for many years. She has really made a positive difference in my life and has helped me learn how I manage stress, set realistic and achievable goals in life, and reflect on how my relationships contribute to how I show up in the world. "I am very surprised by the poor reviews. I respect the experiences that other people have had and I'm not trying to dismiss their feelings and experiences. My experience is very different. The front office staff has not only been professional but has gone out of their way to be helpful to me and my family. They always remember me and are very kind, friendly, and compassionate. A young family member sees Stacy Gray. Stacy has been a godsend. The difference in my family member has been obvious. Stacy is so respectful and is very good about setting boundaries and ensuring that my family member feels comfortable sharing with her in that my family member knows that their privacy will be respected and that how they feel will be respected. Stacy has been wonderful to me as well and to my mother who is there sometimes also. She has been able to find a beautiful balance between respecting the family members privacy and making sure we are kept in the loop, so to speak. Of course what is said in therapy is private and it should be and I want it to be. I don't think that that would be an easy balance to find but she has done it and it means a lot and gives us a lot of comfort. I don't have a lot of time to provide more detail but I would encourage anyone looking for a therapist to consider that different people have different experiences. My personal experience has been wonderful with everyone at Harmony Counselling."
