"Dr. McHale is the best endometriosis excision surgeon in the area. She is attentive, thorough and truly cares about you and your wellbeing. This is my second excision surgery and she not only got all the new endo that she found, but she also removed the previous endo that my previous surgeon did not get rid of. She walked me through my surgery and all of my options and ensured I felt comfortable every step of the way. She took her time to answer any and all questions that I had. I would recommended her to anyone that I know!"
"My encounter with endometriosis began at the age of 15, where persistent pain led to repeated dismissals by doctors who attributed my symptoms to normal period cramps—a recurring theme in the experiences of many women diagnosed with endometriosis. Over the years, I found myself in the emergency room countless times. In the past two years alone, I underwent hospitalization on three separate occasions, each time experiencing extensive damage to other organs from the endometriosis. Despite enduring two unsuccessful surgeries from previous OBs, the removal of my appendix, and a partial bowel resection, relief seemed elusive until recently. It took me 15 years to find hope and relief, which was brought to me by my current doctor and specialist, Dr. Melissa McHale. Dealing with my stage IV endometriosis, Dr. McHale, along with Colorectal surgeon Dr. Obias, successfully excised the endometriosis from my colon, bladder, rectum, abdominal wall, and more. I cannot adequately express the positive impact Dr. McHale has had on my life. She offered hope, reassurance, and guidance, never doubting my pain. Her expertise, delicate approach, and informative communication left me completely comfortable and confident in her treatment plan. Six weeks post-surgery, I am already experiencing a significantly improved quality of life. Endometriosis, being a full-body disease, has affected many, and Dr. McHale is a steadfast ally in this lifelong battle. I am immensely grateful to Dr. McHale for giving me my life back. Thank you, Dr. McHale! Best, Paige"
"Dr. McHale is one of the only doctors I’ve gone to that I can absolutely fully trust. To say that I respect and value her is an understatement. She performed my second endometriosis surgery alongside Dr. Vidali back in 2022 (I am currently over 6 months pregnant with twins!), and she consistently went out of her way to make sure I was (and felt) cared for and heard. She is incredibly knowledgable yet empathetic and kind. I would recommend that any loved one see Dr. McHale should they require someone with her credentials. She genuinely changed my life for the better."
"I wanted to share my experience of receiving endometriosis excision and a hysterectomy (for adenomyosis) by Dr. Melissa McHale three months ago after suffering extreme endometriosis and adenomyosis symptoms and pelvic pain for over half of my life. She was trained by endometriosis expert surgeon Dr. Andrea Vidali. I was in so much pain every day and she listened to my experience and made me feel validated, supported, listened too and respected. Dr. McHale was an open book and has answered any/all of my questions pre and post-op about my excision and hysterectomy to the best of her knowledge and she made sure I was secure, educated, informed and comfortable with my decision to proceed with a hysterectomy for my adenomyosis. During the internal ultra-sound Dr. McHale took her time and communicated with me to make sure she wasn't causing any pain/as little pain as she had too. She explained where my ovaries were, how my right ovary was stuck and she communicated and showed me where my adenomyosis was and that given my symptoms and experience she was confident she would find and excise endometriosis and give me some relief. I felt very validated, comforted and educated/informed leaving that appointment. I was very comfortable going into surgery with her. Dr. McHale checked on me the same day post-op and the very next day after surgery to see how I was doing and feeling and let me know that she had found endometriosis. She prioritized my comfort post-op and made sure my pain was controlled and I was managing overall alright. I got my picture pathology almost immediately and I got the rest of my pathology report the soonest it was ready. I even received a video recording of my surgery so I could see everything that happened internally during the excision and hysterectomy. She called me one week post-op to check in on me and see how I was feeling and again at two weeks to make sure I was continuing to do well. She successfully excised ALL of the endometriosis that had superficially spread throughout my abdomen/abdominal wall and pelvis and removed my adhesions unsticking my bowel and right ovary. I am feeling SO MUCH BETTER and at the three month mark I am walking farther than I could before my surgery, go on small hikes, dance and swim for the first time in years. I am so thankful to have chosen a doctor that shows so much care and compassion to her patients and to have a surgeon who really listened and took the best care of me that she could. I have experienced a massive symptom relief and am so thankful to have had such a positive experience. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Melissa McHale for endometriosis excision--she did such an amazing job excising my endometriosis and endosalpingiosis and really cares about the people she is helping."
