"My baby was delivered at Holy Cross hospital by Dr Skinner. She was one of the loveliest doctors I saw during my prenatal appointments and I was pleased when I found out she was the doctor on call when I was at the hospital. I was a bit anxious during labour because I'm 40, I had to be induced and I was told that women my age tend to have a C section, which I did not want. I was hoping for a natural and unmedicated birth but the induction made my contractions stronger and after 4h I decided I wanted an epidural. Dr Skinner knew my birth plan and was very understanding and supportive from the beginning, she has such kind demeanor, was so professional and made feel I was in great hands. When it came to the pushing part she was very encouraging and made it so easy, the nurses were amazing too and there was a great energy in the room. I am grateful to Dr Skinner and the nurses I had for having made my birth experience a positive one."
