"Great service, great people! Our at-home walk-behind Toro mower lost it’s power-assisted drive. These folks are a small place that, from the stream of customers, looks like the go-to spot for landscaping small businesses. Happily, they gave us the same attention as anyone. They listened, gave us an idea of possible causes, and let us drop off our mower right away. A quick three-business-days later they had our mower back in running order at a very reasonable price. It was a pleasure doing business with E V S and their efficient and very friendly staff. Just like finding a good restaurant, look for a busy parking lot with lots of local customers. This is the place! There’s an outside entrance at the right-rear of the hardware store. Plenty of parking."

"I want to give EVS 5 stars, however I also want to give them 1 star. The good - I spent hours on the phone thinking I knew what my problem was only to be told by EVS I was wrong. If not for them, I would have spent more hours working on my mower only to still have the same issue (oil leaking out on to the muffler). Wish I had called them first! More good - my mower was fixed in a week (I think). The bad - I say I think because no one ever called to say it was done. When I called to inquire the status I was told it would be two weeks before it was even looked at only to be told next that it was done. Not knowing what to believe I asked what the problem was and how much it would cost. When I dropped the mower off I paid a $40 diagnostic fee. They were supposed to call prior to doing any work to make sure it was ok to proceed. I was then told to call back in 30 minutes to give them time to retrieve my paperwork. When I called back I spoke with a mechanic who rambled off all the things that were done (none of which I authorized, although probably needed - air filter, blade sharpening, etc). I was told I wasn't charged for the part because they pulled it off of an old mower, just charged for labor. So the part that failed on my 10 year old mower was replaced by a used part from another old mower? I picked my mower up after paying the additional $61+. When I got home something told me to check the air filter, since I paid ~$13 for it. It was my old air filter. I had to make an additional unnecessary trip back to EVS. Of course they were apologetic and gave me a new air filter - however by now I could care less and was beyond frustrated."
