"Impeccable service. It was a simple diagnosis, they did it in the moment and I walked out with my laptop working again. Ordered a battery and they were kind enough to install it even though I got there really close to closing time. Definitely recommend it to anyone with tech issues!"
"I have experiences with computer places being not the best. Happy to say this was absolutely NOT true of Juvix! Everyone I interacted with was knowledgeable, professional, personable, and likeable . When I'm in the market for a new laptop, which may be very soon, I'll definitely be purchasing from them. The quote they have on the wall that says, "Be honest, treat people right, and they'll come back to you" is spot on. Very highest recommendations!"
"I had SUCH a positive experience with this tech repair shop. They were kind, patient, and thorough. They were able to fix my old Mac laptop, much to my relief. By comparison, Best Buy couldn't do anything to fix it and told me that Apple would likely tell me to junk it to try to sell me a new one. I'm really grateful to have a go-to place for tech repairs that seems trustworthy and competent!"
"They are absolutely wonderful, professional and competent. I took my 'vintage' computer in for a battery replacement after the Apple store washed their hands off it. Juvix took it in, did a wonderful job and kept me posted at every step. Ariel and Jordan were very courteous, helpful and kind. We will be coming here for all our tech repair-related needs in the future. Thank you! [Review written on the computer that they fixed. :)]"
"Juvix incontrovertibly lied to my face twice about what he was doing to my phone. A lot of things were wrong with this repair. He has a track record of messing up repairs for my friends, too. Please, please do not go to this shop. I went in to get a simple battery replacement on my iPhone 12 Mini. During the repair, the technician broke the screen by accident. OK, not the best sign, but it happens. Juvix told me he was replacing my screen free of charge since the fault was his. There were several issues with this replacement screen. 1. I used to be a phone tech for 2 years. I asked off the bat, point blank - "Did you replace the screen with an OLED"? He said, with certainty, "YES." I will show you later in the review that this was a lie directly to my face. 2. No True Tone. This is a default iPhone functionality that adjusts color temperature based on your environment. I was not informed that this functionality would be missing. Immediately I noticed that the quality of the screen that had been put on my phone was VERY poor. To my eyes, it looked like an LCD. A technician friend of mine concurred. This is meaningful, because an LCD is bad news on a phone that was designed for an OLED. It could potentially damage ICs in the phone because the device isn’t designed for it. And, there's evidence it can diminish battery life, which is just irresponsible considering I was in there for a battery replacement. I emailed with follow up questions about True Tone functionality, and asking more about what specific type of "OLED" this screen presumably was. I got shady, shifty responses that didn't actually answer my questions, and a claim that "the supplier" told them it was an OLED screen. I was told they could try another one. I had seen enough though, so I asked for a refund so I could purchase known good quality parts and see what was going on for myself. Yes, I was refunded, but my phone is still worse off than when I brought it there. And, I had to spend more money than I was refunded to buy actual good quality parts. When I opened the phone (photo below), the sticker clearly marks it as an INCELL display. If you google "INCELL iphone 12 mini" from a supplier like injured gadgets, it's clear that that is an LCD type screen. It's a lower quality screen usually reserved for people who are just going to trade in their phone - NOT as a replacement for a phone that came in with an OEM quality display that the technician damaged. The photo shown is the sticker on the screen Juvix put in my phone. You can't be in the repair biz without knowing these differences. The sticker is right there, and would have been obvious when Juvix was doing the repair. I know what an incell vs OLED screen is, and I only worked in the industry for 2 years. A shop that’s been open for this long would know the difference. I don’t buy any excuse about what a supplier says. The sticker is right there. I wish I had remembered a story a friend had told me about taking her laptop here for diagnostics, and leaving with it permanently disfunctional (no wi-fi) - before I had gone here. After the repair, I knew enough to ask about the parts that were going into my phone. I was lied to directly to my face. Then, I emailed to follow up to give them a chance to be truthful. I was again lied to. Stay away from this dishonest repair shop. Update: Tech shop response said that they took responsibility for not using an OLED. Patently untrue. They claimed multiple times it was an OLED. I wanted to try out a local independent tech shop. I chose to pursue a refund and not let them touch my phone again after receiving shady answers regarding the part quality. Wasn’t going to let someone work on my device again if it’s clear they’re being dishonest with me."
