"SHIPPERS BEWARE!!!!!!! Requested a quote to move two 40ft containers from Long Beach, CA to Akers, LA. the quote I received back was so inflated I was shocked to see it. I was quoted by Joe for line haul rate of $16350.00 plus 45% fuel surcharge and a couple thousand dollars of accessorial charges on top PER CONTAINER! My complaint is the fuel surcharge that I was told "it is what it is " when I questioned it is down right theft. 45% of $16350.00 comes to $7357.50 in fuel surcharge. Fuel surcharge is to cover the increase in the cost of the fuel, not to charge your customers 3 times the total actual cost of fuel to go from Long Beach, CA to Akers, LA for a tractor trailer. A big truck could get only 2 miles per gallon at $6.00 per gallon and still not spend $7357.50 in fuel to get from California to Louisiana Any prospective shippers need to closely look at the quotes they are given to make sure they are not getting ripped off by this companies fuel surcharge schedule and rates."
