Holiday Inn Express & Suites Mount Arlington-Rockaway Area, an IHG Hotel

"We had some things we enjoyed, such as the breakfast variety, the clean space, housekeeping, the location, and how comfortable the rooms were. Alcohol can’t be delivered on site, which was a bummer but we could live. All went well until the last day of our stay. Because there was a wedding, the guests were OBNOXIOUSLY loud until 3 in the morning across the hallway. We had to travel home the next day and we could not even sleep. As a result, staff offered a discount but instead I got charged $200+ after multiple attempts to return my money. And mind you, this is not the only time I had an issue with payment. Booking processed my payment in advance before checking in, but the night shift lady wanted to charge me again despite me showing them that my card was charged. I’m disputing all these charges with my bank and I do not trust staff with my money anymore."

"Stayed here November 8th for one night. The woman who checked me in, I believe Urmi was the name, was an absolute nightmare, who lied to me several times, and refused to give me the managers name I still haven’t been able to contact the manager, because whenever I call there seems to be some issue, ironically the people I talk to when I call kinda sound just like her, same accent, so go figure."

"My room had a cigarette smell. One of the front desk clerks was terrible. The service was bad. The front desk when I checked in was solid, but the day after that it was an old lady that had trouble hearing. She was watching TV in the back instead of being at the front desk. My room key stopped working twice, so that sucked. Breakfast was good. I would still try some other hotel nearby."

"My room here was wonderful; it was very well suited for business with a nice desk and good WiFi, everything in brand new condition with lots of space and a clean big bed. Breakfast was great, and they have other business amenities like conference rooms. There were nice trails in the woods behind the motel around a bog, nothing fancy but easy hiking for short breaks. I liked the motel so much I stayed an extra day just to wrap up some work online and get well rested before ending a cross country trip a bit further east. I did discover the motel’s rate was actually better direct from the front desk than from all the online booking services, which isn’t usually the case."

"I was very happy with my stay. Breakfast was okay, but it was standard holiday inn complimentary breakfast. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. My favorite part was the curtain in the room blocked out all the light. The room was dark, and the bed was comfy. It was one of the best nights of sleep I've had in a hotel."
