Courtyard by Marriott Philadelphia Willow Grove

"The bad reviews about this hotel are very accurate. The hallways have a mixed smell of dirty diaper and weed. The lobby is nice and seems to be newly renovated but the cafe in the lobby closes at 9:30am, and there is no provided breakfast. The pool was decent, and usually empty due to the fact that one of the doors to get in is broken and the pool also reeks like dirty diaper. A common theme in this hotel is broken objects. The ice machines are broken and there is no water bottle filler so if you don’t feel like purchasing water everytime you’re thirsty, pack a few filled bottles. I’m not sure if they use well water or city water in the bathrooms but it stinks and my hair has never felt so dry. The staff doesn’t do anything about noisy rooms so bring earplugs. Last but not least, when we first entered the room we were face to face with a cricket. This hotel has a cricket problem. My favorite part about this hotel was the olive garden next door."

"Front desk was extremely unhelpful and did no prep. Did not honor preference requests regarding allergies. Rooms were old and in desperate need of a remodel. Hotel layout is terrible, very difficult to find elevators. Air conditioner was loud and noisy. Just not a pleasant experience."

"We used Courtyard Willow Grove for our wedding room blocks from 10/20-10/23/23. We were extremely pleased with the hotel, they were easy to work with and helped coordinate our various events with conference rooms for hair and makeup and a good-bye breakfast. Lenae and her team helped to ensure that all details needed for these events were executed efficiently. They were great at communication and provided advice for local catering. They even helped us get into our rooms a bit early when we arrived which was greatly appreciated! We highly recommend using this hotel for wedding blocks or just for your stay! It was very clean and the staff were all accommodating and friendly."

"One of the worst hotel experiences I had. The room assigned to me was a pretty dark one so I asked to get it changed to another one with a little more sunlight. There was no bar of soap, in my bathroom and when I called the front desk to ask for one, they asked me to go down and get one myself from the front desk. Most of the days, waiting in line to get breakfast took a minimum of 15 minutes only to place an order because they are extremely short staffed. My accommodation included B&B, the last day i went down for breakfast at 8:30 they said the kitchen was “closed”, when I asked what that exactly means the front desk agent said they only have 1 person in there to take orders and no one in the kitchen to prepare meals, so they offered only bagels, croissants or some yogurt. I then got billed for my stay at 8am on the last day, without waiting for me to personally check out, they messed up my bill as I got overcharged for a breakfast that was already included in my room rate which they then had to credit that amount back to my cc. A few of the staff were nice and accommodating but the others mostly with a straight face and not very customer oriented. The 2 star rating is mainly because although my room was old, it was clean. Never staying there again though."
