"I was hesitant to write this review until my little sisters who I brought mentioned the experience we had again today. A week ago Sunday, I brought my sisters here for the first time, it was really exciting until we were helped by a man whose name starts with an A. As we were getting our animals stuffed, he started asking really personal questions. My sisters are 13 years younger than me and he was asking me how they are related to me because they are mixed and I’m white, I didn’t think this was appropriate, especially for my 7 and 6 year old sisters to hear. And he proceeds to say “I bet you get asked that a lot” I said no, not really since it’s nobody’s business. Then he was guessing my sisters ages and said “being 6 is no fun, you can’t drink, smoke, or drive” and this is where I was completely disgusted, not only saying that, but he was talking to my sisters like they were adults, and when they didn’t understand he would get frustrated. After awkward silence, he asked if they wanted a scent or a beating heart, I told my sisters they could only get one, and when they picked the scents, he proceeds to hand them the beating heart anyway after I said no. I understand they want to make as much sales as they can, but I told him no and he proceeded to anyway. Finally after he was done helping us, we picked out clothes, and accessories. The Ladies who were ringing us up were very nice, the one even gave my sisters stickers. I spent a lot of money here and I wouldn’t say it was a good experience until the end."

"Literally came here for a nice date w my boyfriend and the employee would not stop interjecting into our conversations. He made the experience incredibly uncomfortable and our stuffed animal ended up smelling like his BO. He kept pushing us to buy things we didn't want and treated customers like they were suckers. I would give 0 stars if I could."

"We took our great granddaughter there yesterday. The associate there was so lovely and caring. She helped my great granddaughter pick what stuffed animal she wanted. The associate did such a great job of interacting with my granddaughter when it was time to place a red heart into the stuffed animal. Great experience for all. Highly recommend."

"Recently to this Build a Bear location for my daughters birthday April 11, 2023. Let’s just say it was the worst experience for her ever and she wanted the bear so bad that I could not tell her no. From entering the store there was no greeting. There were 2 employees having a conversation amongst each other. My daughter played around in the store for about 5 mins until I had to say something to the employee in order to get their attention. Once my daughter picked out a bear we got the employee came over to assist. My daughter changed her mind about the original bear that she picked and got another one the employee sucked her teeth. The experience as a whole was very draining for me based upon attitudes. Let’s just say that the service was not worth it especially when you work in customer service. Hiring people that actually like kids and are kind to them goes along way."

"Took my daughter there today for her birthday. She had a great experience. It's not cheap for sure with all of the extras but she's so happy with her bunny. There was only one person working but she was very pleasant."
