"This place had a nice vibe and a seemingly good menu. It is a hookah joint so be prepared for that. The reason for the low rating is I had two interactions that were incredibly unpleasant. We just stopped in to split a couple entrées, we had ordered a beef, entrée and chicken skewers. When the entrées came out, one of them was sliders, which is not what we ordered. I politely asked the Food Runner for a menu to make sure we did not make a mistake, and Yeah she rolled her eyes and grabbed a menu, she then told me “this is basically the same thing to just eat it.” (It was not, I did not order sliders). I asked kindly for the item we ordered and she walked off. Our Server came by and said that the food would be a while, I figured this would be 10 to 15 minutes but 30 minutes went by and we still hadn’t got her other entrée. At this point it was getting late so I asked the Server if he please wouldn’t mind just cashing us out for the skewers. The server seemed very angry, clenched his jaw and walked away and took about 10 minutes to bring the check which he tossed onto the table in front of me. Having worked in service I know it can get stressful on a Friday night but we were kind and simply just wanted what we ordered. I was shocked how rude the staff was. Wouldn’t recommend coming here."

"At Soussi, you'll find great music, wonderful drinks, and even better people. The bartender, Cassandra, was down to earth and the regulars make you feel like a friend. I'll definitely stop by should I ever pass through again. PS: Read Irving Stone"

"My family and friends have been coming here for years! This was the spot in dc especially in Adam’s Morgan. Music was top tier each time we visit. I loved the food, hookah was always great and the drinks were always worth the price. Tonight I realized this new management that they confirmed they have now, has totally changed this place. The music sounds like elevator music. Sounds like the music you hear when you’re placed on hold. It was a Saturday night and very empty. The hookah is $45 and you don’t get any effect from it. Just smoke really and you can taste a little flavor. It took them 15 mins before closing to give us the second coal. The drinks were so watered down, even after 3 shots of Hennessy and 2 Hennessy and splash of ginger ale I felt completely sober smh. I’m not even sure if it was real Hennessy. They also charged $2 for each splash of ginger ale that was put in the Hennessy that was $14 already as a cocktail. So $14 for the drink and $2 extra for the ginger ale. Please avoid spending money here. DC has a lot of other great spots to offer :)"

"Food and atmosphere were to notch. During a crowded DC night, this was a nice low-key place to been with hookah, great drinks, and good energy. I would recommend the hookah simply based on the prices in comparison to other locations. The process of having multiple waiters got a tad bit confusing, but there was always someone to help us! Recommendations: Calamari, Baked Salmon, and Lamb Sliders"
