Dr. Delano R. Heard, DO 111 Chestnut Street, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002

"I had a scheduled appointment with Dr. Heard for today. I logged onto the Zoom call at 4p as scheduled with no response. I called the office serverel times and emailed a few times and an hour and a half later, received a call back. Dr. Heard told me that because she didn’t receive my paperwork, she thought I was canceling my appointment. I didn’t receive a call or a cancelled Zoom, so I was under the impression my paperwork was received as is it was dropped on on Sunday. Mind you, these forms contain all of my personal information and were required to be dropped off in an overnight box at a condominium building. When I asked for my forms back with all of my personal information back including SSN number, I was told they are their forms and they would white out my information which I am not comfortable with. I was required to drop off original forms instead of being able to fax them, which is ridiculous, but it was done on Sunday and my appointment was on a Wednesday. I work full time and I have 2 small children. Making a trip to drop off forms when we could easily email, scan or fax them seems like a small request, but it’s not that easy sometimes. For the doctor to not call or email the day of the appointment to check in is completely unprofessional. To assume the patient is cancelling rather than call to clarify if I was or not is completely unprofessional. Especially patients who are seeking help for mental health. I plan to call my insurance company to let them know about my experience so they do not recommend this doctor to anyone else."
