"Growing up in the North Hills of Pittsburgh, I never realized how fortunate we were to have a sizeable community college nearby. Nor did I realize how often I'd end up going there as an adult. I first used the building to take a driver's ed class in high school, and later for a summer math course. That was just the beginning, however. I started taking college classes here in Fall 2009 to explore my interests, allowing me to earn credits without the high price tag of a 4 year school. Primarily I took science, art and general education courses that could be easily transferred. The classrooms are mostly the size of your typical high school room, some bigger than others. One was larger and auditorium style where I had astronomy. The chemistry and biology/anatomy labs were nice and on par with larger colleges, so keep that in mind if you plan on the science route. The art here was limited, I took pottery and loved it, but spent a few semesters down at the main Allegheny campus for photography, sculpture, painting, etc. Many professors are experienced and also teach at Pitt, Duquesne, RMU, etc so they aren't all blowoff courses as some kids entering naively assume. After deciding on biology, I transferred 60 credits to nearby La Roche University in 2014 to graduate in a few years with my bachelors! Now I'm back in 2023 currently to take a prerequisite course to apply for dental hygiene school (yes I change my mind a lot but that's another story). Currently the college has some nice renovations since I was last here. Solar panels cover the roof, there is a new digital entrance sign by the road, classrooms have red accent walls, and computers are updated. The main parking lot is in need of a good paving, and the landscaping is a bit overgrown, but overall not too shabby. I can't speak to the food or personal experiences some other reviewers had with staff, but again I'm guessing I've been here far more often over the years than many people who take a semester or two and leave. If you want to go to college, grad school, try to find a career path, or just want to take an interesting night class this remains the place to start! SUPPORT YOUR COMMUNITY COLLEGES! They provide access to education and training to so many and keep the region strong!"

"I have visited CCAC North Campus, but I have completed only online classes, such as an accounting class. The building contains classrooms, a gym, cafeteria, tutoring, and an Innovation Lab that offers interesting programs such as Data Analytics. The tuition is the same as for other CCAC campuses, so students can save a lot of money on lower-level classes compared to a university."
