Crystal City Lofts 305 10th Street South, Arlington, VA 22202

"I would consider more options prior to signing a lease with the lofts. They will find any way to scam tenants out of money. The location is great, but overshadowed by the obscene costs and hidden fees, only to have a rent increase guaranteed yearly. My apartment specifically had a wasp and stink bug issue. During the warmer months I would see 1-2 wasps or hornets weekly, which was a risk for myself and my cat. I was able to put in maintanence requests where they would spray the same thing everytime and ward off the wasps for maybe 3 months best. I am horridly fearful of stinging insects, so showering and hearing them buzzing at the window was awful. The water heater would short circuit every now and then and I would have to take my morning showers with cold water while the hot water heater resets. I was able to put in a work order for them to reset it, but after a few times I learned the process and just did it myself. Unfortunately they did replace the water heater closet to one with a lock, so the next resident will HAVE to put in a work order and have maintanence come. Overall, the maintanence team is wonderful. One odd thing that happened one day when I was off of work, maintanence came to my apartment for a work order that wasnt mine? They knocked stating they have a work request for the second bedroom bathroom, but I had a one bedroom apartment. It made me curious as to how many times theyve entered without needing to or how this random work order even came about. Before enough people complained, they did NOT communicate when the road in front of the apartment would be blocked by marathon events. It was a great surprise one morning to not be able to leave the building by car. I had to walk a few blocks then Uber to work. Once enough people complained they had some decency to send out warnings up to a week prior, so that did help out a little to know when to wake up earlier to Uber to work. When signing on they offer a specific company for renters insurance OR using theirs for $10 a month. For my final 6 months they charged me a liability fee even when I had renters insurance coverage. I confirmed by having the third party they recommended send them confirmation two separate times. The leasing office was very unresponsive and not helpful in fixing the issue even with proof of insurance. It was just very unfortunate since they have so many hidden charges and fees, and to get charged for something they clearly have record of was very neglectful on their part. I reached out multiple times regarding the issue to either be flat out ignored, or promised a resolution with no actual action. There are several cheaper and higher quality options in Arlington to look into before officially signing with Crystal City Lofts. Please please look into other places prior to committing."

"Overall, I had a positive experience living at Crystal City Lofts. Mantainence and leasing staff were very friendly and quick to respond. Maintenance staff resolved issues quickly and were always helpful. My only cons for the complex are that there is a lot of outdoor noise pollution from passing trains and planes, and neighboring buildings. And they raised rent prices quite substantially between leases, beyond being affordable."

Josephine is incredible!! Thank you for being patient with me and assisting me with the apartments and of course, convincing me to live at the Crystal City Lofts! I love the apartment layouts! I love the amenities my community offers! I love the in-apartment washer/dryer combo...such an awesome perk! I love how the location is secluded from the bustling ecosystem that is Crystal City/Pentagon City/National Landing but yet such a pleasant walk to get to everything I need (groceries, mall, parks, metro). Thank you thank you thank you all for such an upgrade in my life and living situation!"

"I’ve really enjoyed living at Crystal City Lofts. The location is amazing with great access to Long Bridge Park and both Pentagon City and Crystal City. The units are spacious and well furnished with great value without sacrificing quality. The amenities are great and the community has a very quiet atmosphere. Jackie and Jesse in the front office are so responsive and supportive of their residents. Maintenance is very responsive even if they have to make multiple visits to rectify an issue. I would definitely recommend Crystal City Lofts to anyone looking to move to the NE Arlington area!"

"My husband and I moved here about six months ago, and we love it! The leasing agents know residents by name and made the application and move-in process easy, and the maintenance team has been quick to respond to our service requests. Crystal City Lofts also hosts occasional events that encourage residents to mingle, which makes the building feel like a true community. The only thing I would change is that I wish my unit had newer appliances, but living here is a great experience overall. I'd definitely recommend it."
