Reviews of The Apartments at CityCenter
"Amazing place. Very nice apartments. Thank you to Maura and Quasa for making my experience here top tier. Building is very friendly. Maintenance is great. Space is great."
"After almost a year here, this review is long overdue. Sorry about that! The location and amenities are obviously first-rate but the people who work here make it exceptional. The staff can make or break apartment living, and we could not be happier with the responsiveness and friendliness we've found here. Bridgette is wonderfully helpful as concierge and her friendliness makes her a great ambassador for CityCenter as she is the first point of contact for many people each day. We moved here because we were quite happy with our experiences with the prior management company at other complexes we've lived. Management changed right after we moved in and we were pretty bummed. But we worried for nothing. We could not be happier with the new management. Manny stayed on in leasing and is wonderful to work with. General manager Chai promptly honored a commitment made by prior management and that set the tone for our wonderful experience here. Santos, Vincent, and maintenance supervisor Jose are so accommodating, friendly, and responsive to every maintenance request and go above and beyond, wearing booties and masks and taking care in everything they do. Management also does a great job reminding people of community courtesies (e.g., no smoking) and we love that the building feels safe with 24 hour concierge. The community events here are creative and fun, and the location above Palmer Alley is the best. We could not recommend more highly. Thanks to everyone at CityCenter for making us feel at home!"
"Overall, The Apartments at CityCenter has been a very nice place to live. The design of the building, including the units, is very clean and contemporary, almost to the point of feeling a little spare. Everything is as you'd hope, save for miniscule quibbles like lights that take a few seconds to turn on. The neighborhood is very central, with easy access to all the metro lines, and bikeshare stations a block or two away. Downtown is officeland, so there aren't many late-night options, and it can feel a little empty due to the shift to remote work, but even so, coffee shops/etc. downstairs is a great perk. The luxury fashion stores are so exorbitantly expensive that they don't have much to offer to anyone not in the yacht club, but the displays over Palmer Alley are nice. If you have a unit facing the alley, there is virtually no traffic noise, which makes it incredibly quiet for downtown (cities aren't noisy; cars are noisy). The only sonic disruption comes courtesy of the fashion stores, who insist on incorporating dead animals into their clothes, thereby attracting anti-fur protests many weekends. I was slightly apprehensive reading the concerns about the management change, but my experience has been positive. They're friendly, handle packages well, are responsive to maintenance issues, and everything else you'd hope. The amenities have been nice. There is free weekly yoga on Thursdays, and random other events roughly every other week. Some of these are sponsored by companies who give out food in exchange for a quick sales pitch. The pool is left uncovered even in winter, which is nice aesthetically."
"I have lived here for just under 11 months. First, I'd like to say the location and unit are both beautiful. Many 4+ star reviews praise the management staff...these reviews were accurate under the management of the Bozzuto team, which previously owned the apartments. However, under the new management of Willowick (a subsidiary of Hines), there has been such a sharp decline in quality of the staff and management that has left me shocked. Shocked, most of all, because multiple staff members of the leasing team from the previous ownership stayed, but are simply worse at their job, now. I once called the front desk while I was out of town to try and get connected to the leasing team. I was told they were not in the office (at 11AM on a weekday), and also that the leasing team had no direct number and could only be reached through the front desk. I then googled the leasing team's number and was immediately connected with someone who was, in fact, in the leasing office. I had already lived there for 9 months and walked past the leasing office hundreds of times, where their phone number is printed on the glass door...why even lie about something like that? The leasing team has been so unhelpful and made the renewal process so complicated for my partner and I that we have actually changed our minds about going through with the renewal. Lastly, they are meant to have a strict no smoking policy, but I noticed a skunky smell wafting through the elevators much more frequently after the new ownership took over, as well. This is in spite of multiple "reminder" emails sent to residents about their policy. These emails are about as proactive as they will ever get. Best of luck for anyone who chooses to proceed with them. It's a fun spot with cool amenities, but be warned about expecting anything productive when it comes to leasing help."
"Great experience looking at a property from Caleb. Great information about the city, accesibility to metro, and customer service. Truly bringing southern hospitality to DCs real estate game. Thanks so much Bozzuto and Caleb. Also, the Concierge service is unbelievable. Now, I know where the place is to be in DC."
