Wells Cove Marina & Townhomes

"We called this marina on a whim to secure a slip for the weekend. Lee and Hudson were more than accommodating, friendly and helpful. This marina is a clean and well maintained one. The pool was perfect and the bathrooms were clean as well. The location of this marina puts us near all the restaurants, bars and entertainment where we want to be. When you're ready for quiet time on the boat, it serves that need as well. The slip holders and other transient boaters were all friendly as well. We have found the marina we will choose as our favorite in this area. The price was more reasonable than some in the area and offered just as much. We will be regulars with our summer trips to this marina and will tell our friends and family as well."

"Last minute I needed a slip and these guys came through for me. The two gentleman that worked Saturday and Sunday were fantastic. They helped me pull in and tie up. Neighbor boats were all friendly and we had some great conversations. The restrooms and showers were clean and had a nice private pool. Close to all the resturants. Views were gorgeous!! Like I was at the beach. Ill be back. I found my new spot."

"As a "transient" we loved the marina, the floating docks, the other people here in the marina, and the staff. Jeff, the dockmaster, was there when we needed a place to stay for 6 weeks. His staff, Nick and Evan were constantly working to keep the docks clean (mostly from duck poop) and always willing to help you with anything you needed. Some might complain about a local, and poplar, bar not far away and their music. The music level is lowered at a reasonable time every night. Some have complained about lights, had we wanted to be in dark marina we could have very well stayed somewhere else or anchored in a dark cove somewhere. To us, sitting on the deck at night looking at the night lights and listening to the distant sounds of music was quite nice. We would not hesitate to come and stay there again. Great job, Jeff, Nick and Evan..."

"We found this marina was clean and well equipped. Floating docks were in great shape, restrooms/showers were clean. However, the employee who was working there was among one of the rudest people we've ever come across. We were cautious and took our time docking in order to be careful around other boats (especially given we'd never been in here before) - he began yelling at us to hurry up. Upon docking I tried to disarm the situation by apologizing and asked if there was something I had done to upset him. His response was: "I'm gruff, it's how I am. If you don't like it, then just leave otherwise give me your money." Unfortunately it was getting late and we did not have any other places to go for the evening, so we felt stuck - otherwise we definitely would have left. Later, we heard him talking on the phone to someone else and he mentioned that when we called to reserve a slip he didn't realize we were a sailboat otherwise he would not have accepted the reservation. Needless to say we were very disappointed, especially since it was a nice place. We'll obviously never moor here again and caution other sailboats to think twice before doing so."
