"I've lived here for two years and want to echo other comments made. Of the three elevators, one has been broken for over a year. With people moving (likely out) that leaves only one elevator available. That's ridiculous! Debbie is great, but some of the other concierge attendants behave like you're ruining their day by requesting a package. There used to be events and food trucks, those no longer exist. The pool has a 'lifeguard' who told me they didn't speak english. They watched as a child threw up in the pool and then did nothing. I'd be cautious of really ever going in the pool. Bethesda keeps putting up high-rises, but the restaurants keep closing and the nightlife is slowly disappearing. The area, and Gallery II, are not worth the price they are looking to charge."
"I am here for 5 days and have had such a wonderful experience. The unit is nice but your employees are terrific. A special shout out to Vanessa, Sue, Bonita, and Myles who is on loan from the Brandywine. I have been in Community Relations for over 24 years at the Capital Centre and the Verizon Center now the Capital One Area . I also worked in the Hotel industry . You are only as good as your people. Rick Pollin."
"My son and I have lived at The Gallery 2 apartments now for 4 years. I have chosen to stay here because of the 5 star experience I have had with Venessa Swangin who is the Assistant property manager here. She has gone above and beyond to help me with so many questions, any issues that arose and her kindness and expertise in her field have surpassed any expectation I may have had. She has been here for a long time and knows how to handle any situation that has come up in the last 4 years. Our concierge staff is incredible as well. Debbie Davis has also been here for quite awhile and she too, has helped me with so many day to day things that have enhanced our lives. . She is so well versed in everything going on in the building. Being greeted with a friendly smile each day also makes for a happy place to call home. The living experience here at Gallery 2 is a special one because of the people who work here as they make our daily lives run smoother. I would recommend The Gallery 2 to anyone looking to be treated with respect and have a safe place to live. Marilyn Feldman"
"I have lived in Bethesda for many years and have enjoyed seeing it evolve into a destination. The Woodmont triangle in downtown Bethesda is the best area and has a huge concentration of excellent restaurants, bars, arts, as well as many cultural and culinary events put on throughout the year. Last spring, I decided to move from a residential neighborhood to an urban setting. I explored several apartment options in DC, Rockville, Chevy Chase, and Bethesda. I initially thought Bethesda would be prohibitive from a cost-of-living perspective but was surprised to discover that Bethesda turned out to provide the most value and is very cost competitive with DC and surrounding suburbs. After settling on Bethesda, I visited/toured at least a dozen luxury apartment buildings. Several were very appealing but had some deal-breaking drawbacks. Then I visited Gallery ll. After a comprehensive tour led by Venessa Swangin, the consummate professional, I knew this is where I wanted to live. It’s a dog-friendly, new building, extremely well-constructed, thick walls, wide and nicely decorated hallways, incredibly innovative floor plans, unparalleled amenities, ultra-professional staff, super responsive maintenance team, safety and security, elegant design, and an exciting neighborhood right outside the front door. There is also a rooftop pool, clubhouse, barbeque grills, firepits. It’s like living at the Four Seasons, for a fraction of the price. Bottom line… I have high expectations that the real living experience is as good as advertised. Gallery ll has not only met my expectations but has far surpassed them. With no hesitation I give Gallery ll five stars."
"I stumbled upon this community literally by accident and I’m so glad I did. New to Bethesda and new to apartment living, I had already committed to another apartment in North Bethesda and had a horrible experience with their Mgmt team (ghosted me after I signed my docs and paid). I had already vacated my home an hour away and floating in hotels so I was desperate to find an apartment that checked all my boxes (new, walkable area, bright, large balcony, pool, large bathtub and dog friendly). I worked w/Venessa to lease my unit and she is SO professional, accommodating, and extremely responsive. John and his team - Cindi, Eleazar, Pablo, Frank, Marcia, Vitor, Deon, Deb, and the cleaning crew are a dream team keeping things running smoothly with a smile. John even helped me get my money back from the old place after I tried for 4 months. The building is clean (always smells good which is huge w/so many dogs), feels safe (good luck getting past Frank), and is quiet! Elevators can be slow during move in/move out weekends but that’s common sense. The neighbors are predominantly young professionals (tons of Medical Pros from Walter Reed and NIH). I toured with several properties and I’m very happy with my choice!"
