Mon Health Emergency Room

"I was in the ER on Thursday 11/16/23, the nurses were polite and efficient, but that’s about as good as it got. I had a CT Scan, never had anyone come in to discuss the scan with me, I had the nurse come in for me to sign my release documents. I asked is anyone (radiologist or doctor) going to discuss with me the results of the scan? She said, no one came in to talk to you after waiting for over 2 hours, I said no, she said everything looks good. So you can go. Then I was given samples to bring back to the lab , brought them back, do you think I’ve heard a word from them since then or my PCP, no. I just moved here and will not go back here again. The staff was polite, I will give them that , but when I called for something in my room 3 times no one came . Then finally when some staff member accidentally walked into my room I asked her was she here for my call, she said no you push the red button, I said “I HAVE” it’s been well over a half hour since I’ve seen anybody. Ten minutes later someone showed up. I still don’t know if there’s an issue or not, I never saw a Dr, just a PA briefly. When I called to find out something about the lab work , I was disconnected twice. I called my doctor in Pittsburgh to follow up with them since I can’t seem to get anywhere."

"Came with my friend to support her and her and I are still waiting as i write this. it has been almost 2 hours waiting and have seen multiple people leave because of the wait time. I witnessed a woman limp out the door and told the lady all she wants to do is lay down and go home (she was here before us) and they just let her go. There is no sense of urgency from the staff. My friend came in from a highly contagious virus and chest pain and was told to just wait when there is a sign that says to let staff know if you are experiencing chest pain. This experience has taught me that if i need urgent medical care and my life is on the line this emergency room is not the one to go to."

"The night shift Nurses and Techs were amazing. We were there for 5-6 hours and they were very kind to us, caring, and made us feel comfortable and we received amazing care. I couldn’t have asked for better."

"Great team and great care. Came here the night after an outpatient surgery due to complications. Waited for a while (so it goes), was triaged, made it into a room, and had great care. Excellent facility with all the necessary equipment, caring doctors and nurses. Confident I'd go back here again for any emergency I might have. Thanks to the team!"
