"Since bringing in new management, I've seen a major change in service with the leasing and maintenance team - all for the better! After the recent snow storm, we started having all sorts of issues in our apartment...the heat wasn't working, the garbage disposal shut off causing a back up in the dishwasher, and the switch that controls our fireplace was disconnected. After submitting maintenance requests and sending a brief follow up email, I received a quick response from Dakita (Community Manager), and within minutes maintenance was at our door ready to help. The maintenance guy (I believe his name was Sean) was very polite and kindly explained why all the issues occurred, and how to prevent them moving forward. With the old team, it was like pulling teeth to get anything addressed and required substantial follow up on our end. We dealt with several miscommunications all the way down to us signing a lease for a specific unit and them changing up the unit AND price on us weeks before we were set to move in. Overall, we love the area and how accessible it is to shops, restaurants and even walking trails. We live in a 2x2 and feel we have a substantial amount of space for the price we pay, and we enjoy all of the amenities (especially the gym and lounge area!). One complaint we do have is that there's only one trash disposal center....and it's all the way on the opposite side of the complex from us. It's inconvenient to have to walk our trash over, especially in in-climate weather, but if that's our biggest complaint I'd say we're pretty fortunate."

"These are apartments look nice, however that office is extremely unwelcoming. I came to do a walk in tour and was met with a crass attitude. I was left feeling like I was being judged because I told the leasing person that I was flexible with my move in but would prefer an April move date and was immediately dismissed and told that I need to just go on the website. I kept being interrupted when I was trying to speak about my flexible move in date and essentially felt like I was being judged and belittled. I wanted to apply today but if that is the office staff then I’d never live on this property. It is 5:04 pm and the blinds are being closed. I was told they close at 6:00 pm. There is a proper way to let someone know you can’t tour after 4:00 pm. Interrupting me because you don’t want to do your job and give me information is horrible professionalism."

"The apartments do look beautiful on the outside and welcoming on the inside of the apartments. The apartment complexes are gated off, providing additional security, and it is in a relatively safe area. The most negative part of my review is communication, which is why I gave a one-star review. The management is extremely unprofessional when it comes to the application process. I originally applied for a lease for an apartment through their website. I was open in my communications and provided the necessary documentation that was requested of me through their website, but they did not return any of my calls, emails, or text messages, even during their open business hours. I only found out that my application was denied when checking a status update on my own. I was not provided any prior notification through my emails, phone calls, text messages, or on their website. I was not provided any reason for why my application was denied. None of my calls were returned, even when leaving both my personal and work contact information. None of my emails were returned. Their text messages indicated that they would contact me quickly, but even as a week passed, I was not notified through text messages of anything regarding any updates on the application process, status, or if they needed additional information. I understand that times can be busy during leasing, but a lack of communication over almost 2 weeks on the company's end at multiple times throughout the days is unacceptable."

"My name is Terri these apartments are a no. They missed placed my rent for the month of September. I brought in my receipt from my money orders. I was told by Dakita that she can not honor my payment because that happen before she started here. So now I’m responsible for tracking the money order now after I had paid my rent months ago and they are just bringing this to my attention. Also make sure you get a paper receipt they don’t give them out all the time well let’s just say the temp agency they had working for them never gave out receipts. I only just moved here in January and they have had at least 4 differ managers about 5 leasing agents could be more. I believe my money order was stolen along with all the other checks and money orders they stolen from ppl in the complex. That’s why the name has changed to mode at owings mills and not riverstone anymore. On the good side I love my apartment but the leasing office agents they are all over the place. They never answer the phone I have pulled in front of there and watched them sit there and let the phone ring until I got out and knocked on the office window and she was busted she couldn’t do nothing but own it. This new person Tonya I have only spoken to her today for the first time. If you choose here keep all your receipts documents etc. Like I said nice place but the management sucks. Now that I have to come out my pocket again."

"I had the BEST experience With LaTonya Davis the leasing consultant, she was so patient with me and she exalted all options to make sure I was happy. I am super happy to now call this place home and even happier with the amazing customer service in the leasing office."
