Holiday Inn Express Lorton, an IHG Hotel 8180 Silverbrook Road, Lorton, VA 22079

"Will never stay at this hotel again the staff is very rude and have no prior knowledge of their policies. I was charged A $250 deposit for accidentals paid way more for that than I paid for a room for one night. I was told that my money would be released after checking the room, making sure everything was in order was told my money release in a few hours or even a few days they really think much of it and mind you. It’s been a whole month after calling and calling and calling no answer no nothing was told it got released but then again, I find it funny after a whole entire month it finally got canceled and finally got my money back . The rooms are nice don’t get me wrong but staff is unprofessional very rude. Don’t know their policies and management can never get back to you or probably there just want to hear my mouth at all. This is not the first time I’ve read that people were charge outrageous amount of deposits, and it seems to be I was the only one who got chosen to pay that huge amount that was way more than my room for one night, which is ridiculous will never stay here again."

"Check in & check out went fairly smoothly. I thought it quite rude that the person was on the phone both times while taking care of me. The hotel & my room were very clean and pleasant. My only room issue was the vent fan in my bathroom. It was terribly loud and there was no way to turn it off; came on with bathroom light. I would definitely stay here again."

"Stopped in for a night as a half way point driving to a final destination. The room we got had some stains on the floor and we brought an air mattress for one person in the party, but between the area of the floor and the wall they slept, it wasn’t the cleanest. I’m sure the towels were cleaned but some had stains. The bathroom grout was very stained which didn’t help with the perception of cleanliness. The elevator buttons were heavily taped up and there were signs that they were undergoing renovations, but it seemed more like they were just broken and need to be fixed. If I needed a halfway point to stay again and this was the only option, I could stay here again as a last resort, but next time I will try another hotel and likely wouldn’t stay here again. I will say though that the comforter on the beds was the softest ever of the 3 IHG hotels we stayed at in the week, and the beds were comfortable which was a plus."

"A motel that exceeds expectations. In today's world, most hotels never live up to expectations. Anthony greeted us at the front desk at 10:00 pm. Very friendly and got a room for us right away. The room was very clean and spacious with 2 double beds. In the morning, we enjoyed our complimentary breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits with gravy and bagels, etc. As we checked out, it was Anthony again from last night, 7'00 am. He came in to cover for someone that was sick. 5 stars from me after driving 9 hours in the rain on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Anthony, thank you!!!"

"Stayed here for 6 nights and it was a great stay. The housekeepers are constantly cleaning and do a great job making the place look nice. The buffet breakfast is your average eggs, sausage patties, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, and bread / bagels. I would love to see that mixed up once in awhile as it was the same thing every day, but at least it was always hot. Maybe think about adding in a waffle station or something to mix it up. Breakfast recommendations aside, it was a clean and nice stay. Would recommend to friends and family."
