"IF YOU CARE ABOUT THE ENVIROMENT OF WHERE YOU SLEEP, DO NOT STAY HERE!! I don't understand all the five star reviews for this place. If I could give it zero stars (or even negative stars) I would. I was booked here on accident. The Choice Privileges rep put me in the Quality Inn instead of the Comfort Inn that I specified I wanted. We were on the road for hours and checked in super late so we bit the bullet and decided just to stay. I really wish we hadn't!! Checking in was quick and easy, the clerk was nice. It wasn't until we were unloading our bags and children into the hotel that the nightmare started. I walk in with my daughter (who has a fear of big dogs) where we run into this guy in the lobby who has an UNLEASHED dog with him. This dog runs up to my daughter (who is terrified at this point) and the man has to restrain the dog by the collar to keep him away from us. I'm allergic to dogs so my concern at this point was how clean the rooms are. We make it up to the floor we are staying in (which reeks of marijuana), the floors are filthy. We walk into our room and it smells like burnt hair and cigarettes. I was ready to leave but my husband suggested that we just get some sleep and leave first thing in the morning. We didn't dare use the bathtub/shower which was filthy. The bedding looked clean but we still slept fully clothed and stupidly didn't think to check the mattresses (we were exhausted at this point). When we woke up in the morning. Both of our daughters had bug bites on them. We were horrified and left right away. We didn't even want to know what the complimentary breakfast looked like at that point. We couldn't get out of that hotel fast enough! I did notify Choice Privileges of this matter and was refunded but I would like to see this hotel shut down or managed better. Unfortunately, it is lived in/booked by some who find the sleeping quarters to be acceptable so I doubt that will ever happen. So, I am posting this long review in hopes that I can spare another innocent family time, money, and possible bed bugs/spider bites."
"We have stayed here several times because it is conveniently located just off I-95 near Washington DC. The flooring and bedding have been upgraded. Comfortable mattresses and pillows. Everything looked fresh and clean. We felt very welcome with our dog. The “no smoking” anywhere on the property policy is much appreciated. Great job on the renovations!"
"I booked at the Quality Inn to get off the road from a snow storm. The place is Absolutely disgusting. The first thing that took me back was the lobby, it smelled like whatever food the man at the counter was eating. There was black mold in the bathroom vent, the dust was built up coming out of it. Rust and ripped bath mat in the shower. The furniture was broken, there was what looked like coffee spilled down the side of the night stand the bed had stains. The lock on the door was so loose I thought it was going to break off. That’s was when I took my family to another hotel. I asked for proof that I checked out and the man got whatever food he was eating on my paper!"
"The hotel is old and you will immediately recognize that it’s way over do remodeling. Let me first say that the room was only $63 a night which was the reason I chose it on choice hotels because it’s all my budget could afford. I did not have any issues with customer service they performed their job nothing less or more. When I walked in the room I was tempted to go ask for another room because the room smell of smoke was as strong as I have ever smelled anywhere in all my life to the point of it was difficult to breathe in it was very bad. I chose not to request another room in fear it would be worse, mostly because of reviews of how previous guess had been treated when complaining about other issues. Other than the strong odor of smoke the room looked clean but old and worn looking. The next day as I was looking up in the ceiling I saw a large area that looked as if it could have been mold I honestly chose not to investigate to see if it was mold or dirt I was there on a much needed get away of quietness and peace and once again I chose to ignore it I simply did not have the energy to deal with any issues or drama. But I am about 100% sure that I got sick from staying there, and in that room particularly. I arrived on a Wednesday early evening by Thursday night I started to feel sick mostly like a stretchy throat. Friday I felt the same hoping it wasn’t much of anything but as the day went on I could feel it more. Saturday day of check out I knew I was definitely coming down with something and by the time I got home Saturday I was definitely sick and feeling bad with sore throat, headache, and feeling extra fatigued. I’m sure it was that room because I wasn’t sick at all upon my arrival I did not leave the hotel at all until late Friday evening and that was to go get me some Ricola throat lozenges. Other than that I only left the room that Thursday morning to go to the lobby area for breakfast and I went back to my room. That room smell like several people had been chain smoking in there for a week that’s how strong it was so I can only imagine the germs that were in that room alone. In reference to the breakfast if you eat cereal as I don’t I would not recommend. I did get a bagel and cream cheese other choices were eggs, ham, and waffle mix to make waffles. I’m not a very picky eater but I do not eat meat so if you’re vegetarian or vegan it’s definitely not a breakfast to look forward to. Overall I want be going back it’s time they do a remodel or close down."
