Courtyard by Marriott Stafford Quantico

"I am very disappointed by this hotel. I had made a reservation for one night and a few weeks before, I cancelled my reservation. The terms of the reservation mentionned that I could cancel with no charge prior to the stay. I have never been to the hotel and I was charged on my credit card for the night that I had booked and then cancelled. I called multiple times to get reimbursed and the hotel is claiming that someone was present and swiped my credit card. They closed my case without even considering my proofs. This is ridiculous as I have never put my foot in this hotel especially that I have the proof of cancellation. I request to be reimbursed as soon as possible. What you did is unacceptable!! A staff member used my credit card information to charge me the full amount. This matter will be escalated to Marriott's upper management."

"We stay here everytime we come to the area. This review is specifically for the staff Alfred and Madi, front desk Chris and Beca, and Ann and Kat. They are AWESOME!! Alfred and Madi are the main reason we usually prefer to eat meals at the hotel instead of going out. Chris is always a friendly face when we check-in in the afternoon and routinely greets regulars by name as they walk in the door. Beca always remembers our coffee in the am before we can even ask. And Ann and Kat are great ambassadors for the brand. On the few occasions that we needed a room at the last minute, they have never let us down. This whole team always go out of their way to ensure the customer is always taken care of and should be the benchmark for Marriott customer service. Well done!"

"Purpose: Short weekend visit to the Quantico area. Pros: Hotel is very close to Marine Corps Base Quantico and the National Museum of the Marine Corps. Rates are fair for the area. Lobby is nice. Staff was professional. Rooms were comfortable with ample space. Room did have a small refrigerator and a microwave, iron and ironing board, decent flat-screen TV. Cons: Be advised - Room 132 on the first floor is directly across from the hotel utility room and the hot water heater/furnace runs continually. If you're looking for quiet - this is NOT the room for you. The constant noise may be problematic. Slight attention to detail defects (rust around the bathroom door frame looks trashy like a cheap roadside motel). Not what you'd expect from a polished "corporate" area hotel stay. There are multiple hotel options within the area along Route 1 from Stafford to Quantico. I chose this one due to proximity of the Marine Base and the Marine Corps Museum. I would recommend it to friends and family."
