"We were very impressed by this hotel. Our experience was great from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. The location of the hotel is perfect, the staff is extraordinarily kind, and the atmosphere feels luxurious. Thank you to all of the staff members who made our stay so nice. Shout out to Efrain at the front desk who was exceptionally kind and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel to family, friends, and travelers alike!"
"Updated rating January 2024 I've stayed many more times since my initial rating and following the debacle that is the lacking luxury Park Hyatt, it is solidly my go-to for the local area Hyatt brand (Grand Hyatt is okay just very dated and worn with small bathrooms). The customer service is consistent. I still think they could do a better job of cleaning as that is not always consistent but it hasn't been outrageous things that would make me not return (all surfaces including anything that could be touched need to be wiped down and disinfected and that isn't happening consistently). The fitness center has good options. They appear to recently have added a big screen TV. I'm a big fan of row machines especially after a tendon sprain some months back, so I appreciate that option. The cable machine is also a nice go-to. I think there's also a Peloton bike but I try to use things I wouldn't normally do (have my own) when I travel. Overall, I think it's worth it. I still prefer the Georgetown neighborhood given the shops but Navy Yard is okay too. And super close to the airport if I'm not driving."
"Best complimentary chocolate chip cookies ever! One of my favorite parts of staying here. Staff is always on point to make you feel like your stay is uniquely important. Safe secure location. Quick to help and assist. Makes you feel like the only individual at the hotel! Very quick moving luggage and valet."
"My husband and I recently stayed at the Thompson Hotel on Tingey Street, Washington D.C. From the time we drove up until the time we left three days later, we had an absolutely wondrrful experience. Every single staff member we met was incredibly kind and professional. Del, Caleb, and Stephanie were especially accommodating. I know I'm forgetting someone and I apologize. Every single person we met was awesome. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely book again. Thank you!"
"Called to book a TWO ROOM suite, for my husband and toddler. I was VERY clear I needed a living room and bedroom with a door separating the two spaces. The lady in reservations assured me a junior suite fit my requirements Upon arrival my husband was informed that no such room existed, what they “could do” was provide adjoining rooms but because of a wedding there were none available. Also the restaurants were all closed and the valet service chaotic, due to this wedding. The crib they provided was a crusty pack n play with no mattress and just metal struts along the bottom. No one was helpful or apologetic about any of this. I will never recommend anyone stay here, 0/10 for service and hospitality management. ALSO THEY LIED ABOUT THE TYPE OF ROOMS THEY HAVE? Seriously what did they expect a glowing review? Embarrassing service, beyond unacceptable, furious doesn’t event cover it. Don’t stay there."
