"I loved this hotel. In addition to having an amazing room, the service I got was wonderful - they helped me with several things in my sub-24 hour stay, which I really appreciated. Thank you, Banneker staff! Also their free coffee in the morning is actually really, really good."
"We had an excellent stay. I recommend this hotel for business travelers or adult vacationers. The staff were organized and friendly. The room was impeccably clean with well-laundered linens. The bed was very, very comfortable. The bathroom has walls and a door (unlike some hotels these days) and the water was hot. There is free coffee and water in the lobby. There is street noise, so request a room on a higher floor if you're a light sleeper. I love city noises, but I realize some people need quiet. Our room had very good blackout blinds. The location is a 10 minute walk to metro or buzzy Logan Circle."
"I had a wonderful time at the Kimpton Banneker for my four day business trip to DC. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. Everyone at reception greeted me every time I returned. The room was spacious, clean and relaxing. I spent two nights just relaxing in the room. The Le Sel restaurant has an awesome Lavender Lemonade. I am really excited to return! Thanks for a great stay! I would say it is close to most of the tourist sites (although I took a scooter most places). I went to the National Mall once a day and was there in about ten minutes on scooter."
"Nice hotel in a great location. Ask for a room at the back of the property or bring ear plugs as the traffic in front is loud and consistent. The rooms have enough room to stretch out, with a large desk surface and good lighting. DuPont circle and the White House are in easy walking distance, with sidewalks and traffic control making moving around by foot easy."
"It good hotel with spacious room and very comfortable beds. Location is not very close to tourist attractions but not very far too. May be 20 mins walk. There are lots of food options just within 10 minute walk. Only complaint I have with this hotel is the attitude of reception. I booked two rooms more than a month in advance. With booking notes I mentioned in both booking that we need room next to each other considering we weren’t traveling with old parents. When we reached there they simply told we don’t have same category room on same floor, forgot about next to each other. Then we asked do you have one of the room of another category even if there is price difference which I was ready to pay. She mentioned yes we have but we cannot make changes which was strange. Hotel industry is called as hospitality while which was clearly missing from the Lady running the reception. I don’t have any other complaint other than this. I wanted to give 5* but due to above mentioned issue I am giving 3*."
