Capitol Hill Hotel

"This cute little hotel is located in the heart of Capitol Hill. It is within walking distance of the Capitol, Library of Congress, and some of the Smithsonians. There is a hot breakfast each morning, a gym, and a sitting area in the lobby. They have bikes available for rental. The hotel was recently renovated with updated decor. The staff are always friendly and polite. Independently owned. It's a hidden gem."

"Alexis at reception/front desk was amazing. Just a bundle of energy treating every guest with the same level of welcome. The parking attendant/bell hop was just as good. Overall a great experience. Staff the next day were also great. Refreshing to see that this level of hospitality still exists."

"The overall stay was decent. First, the toilet has some major problems. You had to push down the handle for a full 5-10 seconds for it to flush. Sometimes, if there were too much toilet paper, it wouldn’t even flush. Everything else seemed fine. There was a kitchen, dining table, couch, etc. The people at the front desk were welcoming and friendly. I wish the people handling breakfast could smile a little more though. The elevators were kind of small. There was also 2 buildings so people had to walk a short distance to the front desk."

"From the outside the hotel looks small, but the inside is very nice and the rooms are a decent size, there are even some rooms that have living rooms connecting to them. The service was really good with very approachable staff, we had trouble with the payment for our rooms while we were an hour away from the hotel and the lady at the front desk stayed on the phone with us and got the problem solved. We also got free breakfast and it was pretty good, there's even a gym in the building, it's in a garage and very cozy, it feels like a home gym which I think is nice. Overall this is a very great hotel and I genuinely enjoyed my stay here."

"Great hotel with a great location, just blocks from a Metro station and the start of the National Mall. The staff is very courteous and helpful. Ivan, the night desk manager, was wonderful in recommending places to eat and the best routes to take to tourist sites. Will definitely return for the next visit."
