"Words cannot express how we feel about UMMC, especially the NICU doctors and nurses. I was not supposed to give birth at UMMC, but I went into labor 5 weeks early with my twins. We knew they were small and needed the highest level NICU. Doctor Ralston performed my emergency c-section which ended up being traumatic. He was wonderful and my babies were safe and healthy thanks to him. The mother baby ward and L&D were all amazing. Nurses, doctors, specialists, food.. Everything. The nurses/staff helped to get me into a wheelchair to to visit my twins who I hadn't met yet, several hours after birth. My whole team traveled to the NICU with me. We cannot say enough about the NICU staff. Our girls were there for 22 and 35 days. It was the scariest time of our lives but we will forever be grateful to the nurses (all NICU staff) who held our hands, dried our tears and snuggled our babies when we couldn't be there with them. We feel like we were one big family and we still keep in touch with NICU staff. They are such a special breed of people. We cannot thank them enough."

"This hospital is amazing. My daughter was born fighting for her life and thanks to the doctors and amazing NURSES, they kept my little one alive. They have given her a chance at life. We are still "frequent flyers" now to the ER, PICU and PEDS Floor and everyone is always amazing to her and to us."

"The people who work here have horrible attitude! The nurses at the G.I! Also to call and make an appointment have been a huge headache!!! They keep hanging up the phone just because I am requesting an appointment for a Monday! This is really unbelievable I absolutely can not believe this at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My daughter is 2 years old and went to a abdominal ultrasound and got lab work done. How is this a children’s hospital with nasty attitudes like this"

"My grandson, Clayton Edward Malamphy, was born with CHD. Clayton underwent open heart surgery on April 8th 2021 and the surgical team made grave mistakes. Clayton (7 months old) fought for his life until his parents were forced to make the decision to let him go 3 weeks later. Gross neglect and Zero accountability for these grossly over paid practitioners."
