"Menu is pretty good, however Fresca's execution is just not there. The restaurant could easily be a "good regular spot" with little effort. Sub-par guacamole could be made great with a little lime and salt, and less processing. Hot, or even warm, food would really help out. Maybe a refill of water by wait staff that is already bored would help. But sadly, even the main courses need reinvention. Get some good vegetarian options going. Come on folks, put some effort and passion into Fresca!"

"Definitely a go-to on H st! I love the outdoor patio with all the flowers and plants! Inside feels much more casual but outside is an adorable vibe. Lots of menu options - I recommend the cheese empanadas for sure and love the tostadas - basically everything I’ve tried I’ve loved except the enchiladas (too dry in my opinion). Been here a bunch (always forget to take pics) and will be back!"

"Went here a couple months ago because they have a very nice patio. Can safely say it was the worst meal for price I've had in DC. $17 enchiladas were 3 tiny tortillas wrapped around a smattering of refried beans with a side of rice - no cheese, no sauce, no flavor. My friend got chicken and was similarly underwhelmed."

"I am one of the live music performers here and I have to say I really enjoy coming back to Fresca time and time again! This was my third time here and the staff are so kind and helpful, the food is DELISH - I swear by the Barbacoa YUM! Get barbacoa in a burrito bowl and you won’t be disappointed! The atmosphere is awesome, especially the outdoor seating with all the plants and decor. The owners really put a lot of thought and effort into this place! I always see them talking and interacting with customers, sometimes letting patrons try new things/samples for free. Really, they go above and beyond - I’ve seen it with my own eyes on multiple occasions. Let’s not forget about the welcoming dog friendly patio and live music!! They provide free entertainment for their customers which is always a nice bonus imo. I will continue coming back here even if I am not performing because I have truly enjoyed all of my experiences at this place and would definitely recommend to friends and fam in the area!"

"Wow. I can’t believe it only has 4 stars at the time of this review. This is the best Mexican, true Mexican, not Tex-mex, I’ve ever had. Tastes just like it’s from Mexico. Excellent food, friendly staff, and super quick. The flavor is so good too, you just have to try it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
