"I really feel this is a place that really cares for their patients. From the staff all the way down to the psychiatrists!! I highly recommend this place!!! Me personally I’m glad I have someone to talk too about my situation without any judgement."
"Staff are kind and caring. The NP, Mrs. Gryzbowski, listens to and acknowledges our concerns. She responds to questions with patience and thorough explanations. I highly recommend her for her kindness, knowledge and professionalism."
"It is quite evident that Lesley loves helping others. She immediately impressed me with her warm ,knowledgeable and inviting demeanor. The entire visit went well. I look for ward to working with her!"
"The therapist was okay, but the psychiatrist was stuck up and would NOT listen to my wife (the patient), OR her therapist. We told her that the therapist agreed that the meds weren't sufficient, and that the depression was secondary to the ADHD which was improperly managed by after the previous psychiatrist reduced them (after twenty years at a higher dosage with no side effects). In response, she not only dropped my wife as a patient; she filed an internal complaint against her to force the whole practice to drop her. We didn't even find out until my wife's next appointment with the therapist got cancelled with no explanation, and I had to call the front desk to ask what happened. This kind of juvenile behavior is absolutely appalling coming from a supposed mental health professional. She doesn't care about her patients, she doesn't listen to them, she doesn't read the medical records, she doesn't respect her colleagues, and if you ever dare to disagree with her, she throws the Hippocratic Oath out the window and takes vengeance on her own patient. Anyone who thinks they're always right never knows when they're wrong. TL;DR: Akua Amponsah-Adjei should not have a medical license."
"In my research to find an empathetic, skilled clinician to assist my elderly parents with multiple life changes, I contacted the office of Potomac Shores Mental Health and Wellness. My parents, (mid-late 80's), do not use the computer, or text much, have specific insurances, and want someone close by since they do not drive far anymore. My mother asked me to help her find a counselor. I spoke with, "Ezekiel" who identified himself as the office manager. He was as unhelpful and officious as I have ever experienced with anyone in the helping profession. He refused to take my name and number or leave a message for the clinical director and told me the company uses only email. He gave me one of the longest email addresses I have ever seen...They prefer people interested in their counseling services to only contact them by text or email. He stated numerous times that there was no one to speak with. I am disappointed that I was treated in an alienating and unhelpful way by an unempathetic office manager. This was my very first contact with this company. It was frustrating. He didn't know anything and was so slow in answering, I thought the call dropped multiple times. It was like talking to the AI automated systems that so many companies use... I didn't feel heard or valued. The inability to speak with anyone with warmth or concern and knowledge is a real negative. I don't recommend this facility at all based on my contact with this office manager. If you struggle with email or texting as my parents do, or if you want to talk with someone who cares about you as a person and will tell you what they can do, instead of everything they cannot do, then, skip this company."
