Bike Boys

"It kills me to make this review as this is a "black owned" establishment. However my uncle has been treated EXTREMELY unfair!!! In May of 2021 this shop charged him OVER $560 for a USED pieced together e-bike. The power display was from a totally different bicycle and it didn't function properly. There was exposed electrical tape holding unwrapped wires together, the fender was broken, the battery was from another bike,, the power charge port was loose, the front brakes were removed after the 1st take bake,, and it broke down within TWO days of him riding it. The owner of this shop CHARGED my uncle $60 for a "technician" to look at the bike and it broke down again 5 minutes after picking the bike up thus the price of $560 but it didn't stop there as he was charged another fee that wasn't disclosed to me, because after two trips to this shop after less than two weeks of owning this "rat" bike I wanted him to get a FULL refund.(he caved and let me help him and I found him a brand new ebike for $799). My uncle is a senior citizen and still believed this "black" owned shop would make things right. He is also on a fixed income and saved for MONTHS and made multiple trips to this shop and felt like there was a rapport established. I held out for over a year to leave this review, but this shop needs to be held accountable and they STILL have the bike!!! I will be adding to this review after visiting the shop this week hopefully this "black" owned shop gives my uncle a refund because that "6 month" guarantee didn't make it 7 days"

"Fantastic shop with a fantastic owner. I caught a flat a mile away on a hot day and walked to Blau's shop after finding it on google. As I walked up -tired and sweating-, Blau offered me water. He didn't even know I was looking for his shop. He just noticed I was exhausted and needed help. I told him my bike had a flat and he made quick work of it and was extremely caring and nice! Blau's an amazing person and man."
