"Registered and arrived a few minutes prior to 9am. Door was locked and gate was down. I have been outside for over 20 minutes and no sign of opening and no one answers the phone. I’ve seen others comments on the fact that the “hours” really don’t mean anything and they will be open or closed at a whim."

"I had an positive experience at District Urgent Care. The staff was very professional, and the office was organized and clean. Myself and five of my children became ill, and I must have called around to ten + urgent care offices to be seen, and they either didn't take our insurance or they were booked up for days. When I called the Georgia Ave location, my children, and I were sick and we needed to be seen asap. The doctor was very kind to take us last minute and scheduled us an hour later. Once we arrived there, we had to be tested for covid ( and I'm glad they have that in place) that extra measure to kept myself, my children and other patients safe from exposure. The doctor was very patient with my children, who were fighting her about the swabs. She made us comfortable, and the visit was short. I was able to get the medication we all needed for strep throat. Total time here was 2 hours. Not bad for seeing a family of six. I definitely recommend this location, and will be coming back!! Thank you so much again!!"

"BEWARE. If I could give a review for the medical professional (I believe she was a Physician's Assistant/PA) I would give her 4 stars. She was attentive and asked all the right questions when I brought my husband in for a severe headache, nausea, and vomiting. Unfortunately, my husband needed an IV and they do not have that at this location. Which is ridiculous. What is even more ridiculous is the INSURANCE SCAM going on at this location. Patients are required to take a COVID-19 test prior to entering. Which is not a policy outlined on their website or even on the door. In addition, individuals escorting the patient must be tested as well....thus the scam. This location conducts COVID tests on "everyone" who enters and charges insurance companies for them. When I declined the at cost COVID test I was refused entrance and had to wait outside in the cold while my husband wailed in pain inside. Until... the doctor herself came out to retrieve me because I had to provide more background on my husband's health. The front desk person, a man who knew absolutely nothing, told me that DC doesn't give out free COVID testing. Which is untrue. As of today's date (12/6/2022) free rapid and PCR COVID tests are still offered by DC Health. It's unsettling that someone who works at an urgent care center is giving out incorrect public health information. I asked to see the regulations requiring COVID testing and he never provided it. If I could rate this location a 0, I would."
